After all that shit that went down at the Sheriff's station me and Derek went our separate ways but he did tell me to meet him at his families old house the next morning. That's where I'm headed now. He didn't explain why but that's Derek for ya. He doesn't really explain just does things.

I pulled up to the old house. Stepping out of my car I took in my surroundings. Man it's been years since I've been here. It was always peaceful in these parts of the preserve. I guess not a lot of people came down to these parts. Well the Hales did own a good part of the property surrounding the house. I remember spending a lot of my free time out here. After school, weekends, summers.

*Flashback*

"Seriously. Do I have to.??" I groaned falling back on the couch.

"Yess. I'll be at the station pretty much all day and I don't want you staying by yourself." My dad answered finishing up the last touches on his uniform.

My dad was actually good looking for an older gent. You see my dad was born in Australia, but he didn't have your typical Aussie looks. He wasn't bleach blonde with blue eyes. My dad stood at 6'3 with jet black wavy hair. Unlike my dad who had dark green eyes. I on the other hand had light green eyes that some say looked almost yellow. Despite my dad living in California for so long he still had an Aussie accent. I have one too but it's not as thick. I only sound like a true Aussie if I was talking to my dad.

"Daddy you already know I'm fully capable of taking care of myself." I said sitting up.

"Yes and yet you've still manage to get yourself in trouble. Your going to the Hale's and its final." He said grabbing his keys and walking out the door.

I groaned falling back on the couch. After a bit of procrastinating I finally got up. I decided on walking to the Hale's house. Now don't get me wrong I don't mind the Hale's I just can't stand certain ones. I walked up to the front door. The door was opened I walked in to the kitchen. Thalia was in the kitchen at the sink she turned around sensing me.

"Hi sweetheart." She greeted drying her hands off.

"Hi Ms. Hale." I greeted sitting down on the bar stool taking an apple out of the basket on the table.

"Your dad told me you were coming over."

"Yea" I muttered

"Where's Laura.??" I asked taking a bite out of the apple.

"Oh she's not home yet. Derek is up stairs in his room though." She said turning back around to wash the dishes.

Great. I can't stand him but I do enjoy making fun of him. It's kinda like a love hate relationship. I jumped down from the stool making my way to the stairs. Sauntering up to his room. He was sitting at his desk his back turned to the door.

"What up Der Bear." I said jumping on his bed.

"What are you doing here.??" He said not even turning around to look at me.

"Waiting for Laura." I simply stated laying back on his bed casually munching on my apple.

"Then why don't you wait down stairs." He growled.

"It's boring down there." I groaned turning on my side sitting up on my elbow. I can see his shoulders tense up. He's starting to get irritated already. A smirk played at my lips.

"Soo whatcha doing.??" I asked laying back on to my back. One hand behind my head my legs crossed at the ankles.

"Non of your business." He muttered typing on his cell phone.
