i hold the cold handle of the red umbrella, tightly. i clutch it in my sweaty palms, to prevent the rain from washing over me.

drip, drop, drip, drop.

i hear the rain once more.

i spot you across the road. with the roof of the bus stop serving as your only shelter.

i watch you. with the sound of the water hitting the pavements as the background.

i look at your worried expression, you have no idea how much i wanna come to you.

but yet again,

water keeps us apart.
