Ancient Drama

Chapter 9

Months past, and Skyller grew more and more like a her mother. Splendor and Skyller got to play together everyday. Splendor even gave her a little nickname, his little lilac. While Luna and Helios were out doing who knows what most of the day. No one knew what they were doing except them, and the one person that decided to follow them.

Luna and Helios fly across the North Atlantic Ocean, all the way Athens, Greece, to fight an evil that has been lurking and spreading. Once they land, they notice the trees, plants, and animals were dead and gray, reeking with the smell of death. They looked around, looking for something that might have caused all of this. A rustling noise came from behind, making the two quickly turn and face the noise. A moment later, a shadowy figure came from the trees, holding a knife. The one holding the knife had a gray cape with the hood up, covering the face. Helios and Luna got into their fighting stance, preparing for the worst, not sure what to expect. The stranger lifted their hood, causing Luna to take several steps back with pure terror in her eyes.

Eliana just smiled. " Are you that surprised to see me, Luna? Or is it the fact that you feel more than one presence here?" she said, her eyes changing from fiery red, to a fierce green with cat pupils.

Luna growled. "You two should both be dead. How are you here?" she snarled, changing into her other form, as did Helios.

Eliana just chuckled. " I was sitting alone on that beach for 500 years because of you, about to just kill myself, when I felt Malcolm's presence. His power had morphed into some sort of spirit, and it was looking for me. A new person to kill you. It gave me power, power to break free of your dreadful prison. After I left, I heard you had gotten married and had a child. So, I thought to myself, 'I think I'll have a family reunion', but instead I just get you two." she says, running her hand over a very deadly knife. "Oh well. I guess it's your time." she disappears.

Luna and Helios look around frantically, until Helios's eyes widen, and he changes into his human form. Luna looks over and screams. Eliana is standing behind Helios, with her knife stabbed into his heart, protruding in the front. The light fades from Helios's eyes, and he falls to the ground. His body begins to disintegrate into the ground, with his spirit disappearing into thin air. The knife flew back to Elianas hand, white blood still dripping from the edge. Tears ran down Luna's eyes silently, until she shrieked an inhuman noise, and charged at Eliana. They fought for what felt like hours, each one only barely damaging the other. Then Eliana disappears into thin air, her laughter still lingering. Luna looked around frantically, when suddenly she saw movement in the corner of her eye. She moved to strike Eliana, but instead, she ran right into the blade of her knife. Eliana just grinned a devilish grin, and drove the knife deeper into Luna's heart.

Luna gasped, changing to her human form. She saw her chance and slashed Eliana's throat open, blood pouring out. Eliana's eyes grow as white/ grey blood pours out of her. She falls to her knees and the light leaves her eyes, just leaving Malcolm's soul in the body. Luna began shrieking loudly, causing Malcolm's spirit to retreat from Elaina's body and explode into millions of particles until it was nothing, leaving Elaina on the ground dead.

Luna slumped over, knife still in her heart, when she heard the grass move. " Slender. I need you to do something. Take my necklace and this knife, give it to Skyller when she's old enough. You'll know when she is. Have someone adopt her, anyone in the family, but they must never show their true selves. I want Skyller to live a human life until she gains her powers. Watch over her. Please." She said, pulling the knife from her heart with a gasp, and disintegrated. Slender man walked over to the knife and necklace, picked them up and disappeared.

When he returned to the house, everyone was devastated by the loss. Onnjel and Asura came to a decision that Damian, Amber and Hector should take care of Skyller, since they are the only ones to ever be human. Then everyone else split off in pairs or groups and went their own way. Slender gave the knife and necklace to Damian to give to Skyller, telling him that he'll show up every few years or so to check up on her.

A few years past, and Skyller grew and grew more beautiful every day. On her fifth birthday, Damian and Hector took her to the park and got her a new dress and headband, making her look like a little princess. They decided to have a picnic while Amber was at work. Central Park was mostly empty, so the three got to sit under a group of trees right by one of the ponds. They ate and laughed and played for hours, until a they heard a strange but familiar noise. Skyller looked over by a bush and giggled. Damian and Hector walked over and smiled. A small, fluffy, kitten, with fur as black as coal, was curled up under the bush, looking at Skyller. It's bright eyes were two different colors, one silver and one purple. The little kitten gave a small meow and crawled over into Skyller's lap. Skyller looked to Damian and Hector, with the biggest puppy-dog eyes she could do. " Can we keep him? For my birthday?" she asked, both her and the kitten looking at the men. They looked to each other, then to Skyller, and nodded their heads.

Skyller squealed with joy, hugging the kitten and walking over to the picnic blanket. They ate their lunch, laughed and played, and after a fun day, they went home for the rest of Skyller's birthday. Amber had gotten off of work early to set up for her party, inviting all of their family.

Skyller,Damian and Hector walked in the door and were greeted by all the Trackers,Amber,Orinda,Izotz,Shadow, who changed her name to Melaney, Blue, who's new name was Indigo, Rust, who is now Achilles, and Snow who is now Wynn. They were all in their human forms, in respect of Luna's wish's, so that Skyller could live a more human life.

Skyller held up her new kitten and showed her family. "Aww, what did you name him?", Amber said, crouching to pet the kitten. Skyller giggled. " Uncle Hector told me the kitten is a girl, so I named her Lucy." she said, snuggling her. Melaney Crouched down and looked at Lucy with confusing. "She has two different eyes. The purple one matches your hair, and the silver one matches your hair. That's cute, she's like your tiny twin," she said, chuckling.

Skyller giggled and hugged Lucy more, and Lucy licked her nose.

Years passed, and Lucy and Skyller became the best of friends, always by each other's side. When Skyller started going to school, Lucy followed her every day, sitting outside windows, making sure she was safe. This went on for years until on Skyller's 16th birthday, when their lives began to change.

Skyller woke up to Lucy's face one inch from her face. Skyller just smiled. "Morning, stinker.Happy birthday to you too." she said, kissing her on the nose. She sat up and saw a small black box with rainbow polka dots and a red bow on top, just sitting on her desk. Lucy jumped up and began playing with the bow. Skyller chuckled, took the box and opened it. She gave a confused look at the object inside, and picked it up. The object was a small golden bell attached to a ribbon, with a note saying 'Happy Birthday, my little lilac. Hope we get to see each other soon'. Skyller flipped the card over to see if there was a name, but all that was there was a smiley face with a top hat that matched the box. She just shrugged and made the bell and ribbon into a necklace, deciding to wear it to school. After getting dressed, Skyller went down stairs to the kitchen to get food. Hector,Amber and Damian were already in the kitchen making breakfast, with a present on the kitchen table. Skyller just chuckled. "Two presents already? I'm surprised you guys didn't wait till later when everyone else is here." she said walking towards the table. The three adults look over in confusing, then shock when they see the bell on Skyller's neck. Amber reaches over and barely touches it before pulling her hand back. "Who gave that to you? None of us gave that to you."she said, confused.

"There was no name. Just a note that said happy birthday, my little lilac. Hope to see you soon. The box was black with rainbow polka dots, and the card had a smiley face with a black top hat." Skyller said, looking at the bell. " The weird thing is, the patterns and smiley face remind me of my imaginary friend from when I was a little kid. His name was Splendorman, but I just called him Splendor."

Damian almost dropped the bowl in his hand, so he set it down gently. "Skyller, I think it's time to head to school. Don't want to be late." he said, handing her the present and her backpack. Skyller gave them all a confused look, but just shrugged it off and went outside, only to stop in her tracks. Outside the house was a teal, 1955 Ford F150, Skyller's favorite truck, with a big bow sitting on the top. Skyller looked back at the window, with a shocked look on her face, seeing her family smiling. She squealed and ran to the truck, unlocking it with the keys from the box. She then drove to school, with her family watching her drive away with worry on their faces.

" What are we going to do now?" Amber asked. None of them knew the answer.
