~~~Ink's POV~~~
The vents were clammy, moist and wet, condensation on the edges of the vent system. It made an all to hprrific experience for Ink. He crawled through the vents, his body shaking, tremors springing up. He shot his right arm forward, then move his left leg into a crounching position. then the left arm shot out, and then right crunched back. He crawled like a spider, moving through the vent system, avoiding as MUCH noise as he could. But they vents were not ment for something so quiet, they kept making clanking noises, something hitting against something else. It was obvious to hear and see, as Ink's unsteay movments caused the vents to almost "wiggle"
"Come on Ink...just make i-," Ink started. He froze, as he wa crunching up his left leg, he felt something in his right. It was a cold hand, it cold, wet, and most noticable, rough. Ink was petrified, after the experience he had, he knew that a hand on your leg was NOT a good sign. Ink slowly turned his head towards the thing holding on, and then he saw something horrifying.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG," the thing moaned. It was hard to reconize, at first it looked like a zombie. But further inspection...it looked like Reaper. His face was almost "melted" on the right, and his bones were marrow. Claw marks everywhere, bit marks everywhere, and even a indent of claws on his face. He really looked like a walker, a walker in a struggle. Reaper grabbed harder, and pushed up to Ink's leg. He opened his jaws, and even before he did another thing.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Ink screamed. He kicked Reaper in the face, as Reaper moaned more. Ink crawled about 4 feet, before turning a sharp right in a intersection. Ink truly had no source of direction, nor which way to go. He trusted his gut, as it navigated through the sharp vents. It felt like forever, but Ink kept going. At least, that was before the unexpected happened. BAM, in a instant, Ink was hanging for his dear god life. He didn't even get a second to think, before his hands forcefully grabbed onto the edge of a vent. He realized, about a moment later, that the veng cover under him must have been unstable. Causing it to break apart, and give way to Ink. But when Ink looked down, he saw a whole NEW surprise. There...stood the others. They all looked up towards Ink, ALL of them. Ink could even see Horror smile, as droll ran down the side of his mouth. He was eager for some sort of food, and it looks like he just got a fast food bargen.
"oH, yOu'Ll bE a dElIcOuS mEal," Horror muttered. Ink shreiked in horror, as he desperetly pulled himself up. He could already hear some metalic clang, then fotsteps. They must have found a ladder and had started to climb. Ink needed to think fast, and this time, his brain scrambled at the two words. Left, or Right?
~~~The "Others" POV~~~
They thought JUST about how delicous Ink would be, his bones GRINDING against their teeth. Canabalism was a funny thing, at first...you never wanted to eat someone alive. But soon, your brain can't stop thinking about it. It's all you ever think, all your mind can detect and say, is a good idea. Horror had grabbed a ladder and pushed it to the area Ink had gave way. Almost instantly, he jumped up onto the shiy grey footsteps, and started climbing.
~~~Ink's POV~~~
left right...Left or Right....LEFT OR RIGHT. WHY WAS THIS SO DIFFICULT?! It was SO EASY when he FIRST came up here...WHY SO HARD NOW. Ink's arm moved to the left, but the rest of his body wanted to move right. He ended his movment, and stopped for a second. He pondered, and then he just sat still. He listened to his heart, and the choice IT wanted to make. He felt something deep inside him, and then it thumped. Left. His body moved left, as he crawled further. The sound of metalic claning didn't help soothe him either, he could hear chittering voices...coming down from the way he came before. He could see some small bars at the end of the vent, very small. But yet, he felt a small glimmer of hope. As he neared, he could clearly tell what it was. A small vent cover, with light poking on the other side. Ink smiled, as he rushed his movments further. He longed for home, he longed for his friends. He finally closed in on it, as his hands extended outward, grabbing the uneven edges. There was a turn, a clank, then SUCESS! He ripped out the vent cover, throwing it forward, as he stared into the light. Through the foggy atmosphere of the vent, Ink could see a couch, then he could make out a rug. He was in the living room, the door was only a few feet away.
"Finally, FINALLY," Ink exclaimed. Using the rest of his energy, he moved his fraile body, up and over the vent system. Plunging himself into a 7 foot drop to the ground.
*A/N: I am SO SORRY this is so short. This has only, like, 875 words. So i'm dearly sorry for that. I tried to make it more spread out, tried making it more suspensful. Meh, it probably didn't work out well. WELL, thanks for reading this chapter! And surprisingly, this story IS reaching it's end, in maybe two more chapters it'll end. So get ready for that. Thank you everyone for reading! I wish you the best. Bye! *
