The Truth

Chapter 7.

Camil.

It's around 8 in the morning. I'm cooking breakfast and that means we are having eggs and bacon since it's Jared favorite food and I always make it for him.

I drink my coffee and  look at Jared, can't help myself but laugh at his face expression.

"Cam I don't know how you do it but your eggs and bacon are the best," he says chewing.

I only laugh at him. My phone starts to ring, I look at the name on the screen. It's Daren. No way I'm going to talk to him.

Jared looks at me.
"Aren't you going to pick up?"

"No."

My phone stops ringing and after a few seconds it's Jared's. He immediately picks it up.

"Hey Daren...yes she is here...one sec," he hangs me his phone. I shake my head as a no.

"Daren she doesn't want to talk," he simply replies then he turns around and goes to his room with the phone in his hand.

I wonder what are they talking about?
I make my way to my room as I can see that door to Daren's room is slightly open and I actually can hear what he is saying.

"I know Daren, I told you yesterday that it won't happen again...I know...Daren, I'm capable of taking care of her, there is no need to come here....yes she is very angry with you, no wonder, I would too, you know how she feels...Daren, I understood what you told me yesterday...are you sure that Coleman is telling you the truth? Is he really going to help us or it's some kind of trap?... I see...I got it! I'll be careful, now we need to go, we still have classes...yeah...see ya soon bro".

And again I hear this name - Coleman.
I need to get my ass out of here before Jared finds me overhearing.

I run to my room to pick my bag. It seems like second as Jared enters my room smiling.

"Are you ready? We shouldn't be late"

"Yeah, let's go," I say trying to hide my confusion.

How does he manage to get here so fast? No one normal could do it so quickly.

We are exiting the building and heading to the car.

Days pass by and everything seems to get back to normal, I still don't talk to Daren, I'm not sure if I want to. Now it's a few days left before I'm going to London. I didn't tell Daren, but at list I told James.

Now I'm sitting in my room, trying to pack my bag, when the door opens. I can hear Jared's voice.

"Hey Cam, are you there?"

"I'm here!"

Jared walks in my room with the widest smile I've ever seen.

"So what's up?" I ask him, really wondering what made him so happy.

"Cam, I think I've good news for you," He says and his eyes are sparkling.

"Tell me!" I really can't wait to know the reason.

"I think you aren't going to London...alone" he speaks with a wide smile.

"What do you mean?" Now I'm really confused, is he trying to say that Daren is going with me?

"Don't tell me that Daren..." I can't finish my sentence when Jared interrupts.

"I'm going with you!"

"Wait, what?" I'm surprised, happy and confused at the same time.

"I got an internship! That guy who was supposed to go just refused the last minute, so I got it!" He says smiling.

"J I'm so happy !" I hug him.

"Yeah me too, so I think we need to start packing, we have just a few days before London and a lot of things to do." He pulls me back and stands in front of me. He is up for something I can feel it.

"Yeah you're right, I want to see James and Lexi before we leave."

I need to see them before we go, next time will be at least next month or even two, considering how much my uncle works and how busy my best friend is with her studies.

"I actually was thinking about it as well, let's pack our bags and tomorrow we will go home for the rest of the week and catch our flight from there. What do you think?" Jared asks me.

"Actually I like this plan!" I say smiling.

"Then take just the most needed, the rest we will buy there."

That's kind of weird, but I'm not a fan of packing. I can't make a good choice so I always just take everything and in this situation, I know it will be too much. Maybe he is right, I can buy new clothes that will be better for London weather there.

I pack my bag, it wasn't a lot of stuff, just a few things. Tomorrow in the morning we are going home and in 3 days I'm going to London. I'm so excited and most of all J is going with me. I won't be alone there.

The rest of the evening is as always calm, we are watching a movie and eating popcorn. I think it's time to go to bed, we have to get up early in the morning and I want to be well rested.

After a quick shower I put on my pajama and head back to my bed. It takes me few minutes before I fall asleep.

"Any updates?" I ask my man.

"Nothing boss, as usual, they are staying at home, "One of my men tells me.

"Hm...Jared still with her?"

"Yes, boss."

Daren, you made a good job hiding your precious sister, but not enough, even Jared won't help her.

"I want you to bring me the girl tomorrow!" I know what I'm going to do with her, poor Daren. Such a shame you made the wrong decision.

"Got it, boss."
