" Prince Kiet, your father has requested you to meet him in his office,"

The young maid spoke gently like a humming bird fresh out in the morning, Kiet nodded and went into the east wing second floor coming stop on a white door he knocked three times hearing a small voice call come in he entered with a frightened heart knowing when his father is in his office it's never a good sign.

" Come in son, take a seat,"

" What's...What's going on father?..."

His father flickered through the piles of paper signing and seated himself down he clasped his hands together directly looking down with a disagreeable face.

" Care to explain why your mother and I heard servants and the guards talking about how you don't want to marry Abigail?..."

Kiet gulped and looked at his father who waited for his comeback then to his mother who also was seated on the leather brown couch reading a book but watched him from time to time.

" Cause it's like the truth, I do love her so much as my best friend thinking to make her my Queen the mother of my children doesn't seem right,"

" Could it be...perhaps you're in love with another person?..."

For a minute Kiet has no answer, Could he say he did and get the engagement broken off? Or saying he didn't but started liking someone be the reason for the end of this fake marriage?...This was an possibility for him to be free and happy for both him and Abigail, she would understand right?

" Yes, my heart is beating for another father, I wish to marry that person,"

" Preposterous! Do not fill our minds with such lies Kiet, when have you been keeping this hidden affair from us?..."

His mother rejoiced in horror slamming her book down and coming by her husband's side, she was against the idea of her son loving somebody unknown somebody who would bring shame upon her family upon her kingdom. Kiet scowled at his mother for accusing him of a lier.

" I do not speak of lies it's simply the truth, hadn't informed you about this as I know you only want me to be married by an loyal that you only see a commoner as a fly must be squashed,"

" Kiet, watch your tongue when you speak to us,"

His father spoke up in his temper for Kiet speaking like that to his beloved wife, Kiet shivered But kept his scowled expression.

" See the way he's talking to us?...Where have we gone wrong that we are getting this punishment?...Listen to us clearly Kiet this engagement will take place, this marriage will happen. Abigail is the perfect girl for you so I suggest you forget about this stranger and focus on becoming the next heir,"

" That's not fair! You cannot do this, I have the rights to my life and I demand I will not go along with this. It's my choice not yours,"

Kiet stood up hearing his mother's order but with a crossed face and arms folded Kiet knew she won't go back on her words, It was her final word he looked at his father pleading for help as his father understood after all he was a victim of love.

" Dear I think..."

" Don't you sugar coat me, this matter is disturbing our name and it's high time it ends here today. You're going to be wed to Abigail and end of discussion,"

She walked out in a fury heading towards her chamber for some needed rest, Kiet felt a rough hand placed on his shoulder seeing his father with a wounded face.
