S A T O M I

"Are you disappointed in me?" Simone asked Daddy. Daddy sighed keeping his eyes on the road. "No."

He said. Simone looked down at the sonogram in her hand. "I-" She sighed.  "I'm sorry." Daddy shook his head.

"You dont need to feel sorry, it happens." He said. I smiled. Despite how old she is now, she just turned sixteen when she found out she's three months pregnant.

She's having a girl, but she doesn't know that yet. The father is unknown. "I tried to call Mama but  I think she changed her number on us again."

Simone said.  Daddy nodded. "Yea, I think so too." He mumbled. All Daddy did was small talk. He didn't talk much anymore and he started drinking but planned on stopping soon.

He lost his job and is currently searching for a new one. So a whole year passed and everyone is moving on without me.

My Mother is in Los Angeles working for some rich man with five kids. When someone asks how many kids she has she says none.

I didn't take it personal, I knew she was still hurt. How the police didnt even think about searching for my body...or question more people but what else can the police do?

If it was a white girl that was missing they'd look for years, but me, they gave up after three months.

But my father didn't give up at all, he'd do background checks on everyone that I knew, he was also trying to get a job at the school to keep an eye on Simone and gather up any information on my murder.

When they got home Grandma and the twins were waiting for their arrival. "So?" Grandma asked.

Simone sighed holding the sonogram up. "I'm pregnant." Grandma smiled, her nose started to burn. She was going to cry.

"Really?" She asked. Simone nodded. "Yea." "Wait! It's a baby in there?!" Jailen asked pointing at Simone's belly.

They all laughed except for daddy who was walking upstairs. Simone looked at him and Grandma just shook her head.

"He'll be fine." Simone nodded.
"W-what is it?" Kaiden asked. "Well we dont know that yet, we have to wait a few more months."

Grandma said. "Aww." Simone smiled watching the twins rub on her belly. "I-I bet Mimi know what the baby is." Kaiden said.

Grandma and Simone looked at eachother. "How do you figure that?" Grandma asked. He shrugged.
