i wake up the next morning and i have a text from noah.

noah : tell your boyfriend

noah : that if he says he's got beef

noah : that i'm a vegetarian

noah : and i ain't fucking scared of him

me : romantic

me : didn't think anyone in our generation knew that song

noah : well i am a music nerd

me : same dood

noah : never call me dood

me : then stop calling me princess

noah : no can do princess

i walk into school and see noah and josh (another guy who's friends with noah) talking to each other. noah is whispering something to josh. josh smirks and points at me. noah turns around and i run away into the girls bathroom.

i bump into june.

"hi," she says.

"hey," i reply, flustered. she notices.

"what's wrong?" she asks, her voice laced with concern.

"i was staring at noah and josh and they noticed me and i'm really embarrassed!" i yell cry. she laughs.

"well, noah told me something earlier that you may like to hear!" she giggles manically.

"shoot," i say and she leans in to whisper in my ear.
