BOOM! In their beds Amore, Caesar, Dillon, and Ember, are startled awake. Each goes to their windows and sees a geyser of purple magic.
Then Mrs. Valentine walks into Amore's room. "Amore, are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
"Your father left early this morning I'm gonna call and check up on him." Once she leaves, Amore's phone rings.
"Hello."
"Do you see it?" Dillon asked.
"Yeah, you think it's a beast." Amore asked.
"It's purple like the portal Apep came through." Caesar said on the other line.
"Okay you guys go ahead I'll call Ember." The boys hang up and she calls Ember.
"We're on our way." Ember said. She saw the magic, so she could guess what the call was about.
Amore was surprised, but it makes sense this ruckus drew her attention too. "Be careful Ember, Caesar thinks it's Apep."
"Oh." Ember said, filled with dread. Thinking they can't handle Apep, but knowing they can't let him roam around and possibly hurt people. "Don't worry, I'll be careful. She hung up.
Seconds later Amore, Caesar, and Dillon fly out their windows as guardians. They reach the magical eruption, they land and the geyser shrinks, revealing at its center Apep.
Our heroes stand firm, not willing to let him intimidate them.
"So you're the infamous guard." Purple wisps appear around Apep's hand and form his sword. "Now let's end this."
Amore and Caesar summon their weapons.
Apep prepared to attack, when a fireball struck him.
Dragon can be thanked for that, who flaps his wings in the sky and shoots firebreath at Apep, leaving him covered in flames.
Ember runs up, out of breath. "Sorry we're late."
"No, your timing's perfect."
Apep destroys a magic shield, and remains unhurt. And with his sword, he takes a swipe at the air, the sword creating a wave of purple energy.
Dillon covers Ember, while Amore forms a dome around her and the others, but Apep's attack cuts through it. Caesar's shield softens the blow, but everyone still gets knocked down.
"Get up, Mother Earth chose you for a reason, show me."
Our heroes take to their feet. "Are you okay." Ember asked Dillon."
"Yeah, I'm getting used to being beat up."
"Dragon, attack!" Ember called.
Dragon flies above Apep and rains down fire.
Apep gathers magic to shield himself and turns that magic a stream attack, knocking Dragon on his back. A blur appears and shoves Apep as he skids back, he digs his tail into the ground reaching an abrupt halt.
Amore traps him in a luminescent dome. "Love spark." The beam blasts inward.
Apep's sword cuts through the attack and dome.
Caesar strikes with his sword.
But Apep blocks with his. "Now, this is what I was talking about." When Apep gains the upperhand, he feels something tug him back
Dillon grabs his tail and pulls him back with gorilla strength.
Apep shoots a cluster of magic, but a shield stops it, courtesy of Amore.
