SATURDAY ,

CENTRAL HOSPITAL

the place was deprived of light. the white coated walls gave off a chilling vibe. everything was so cold and colorless, it didn't seem quite real. sunlight was drained, no sun peeked through the windows that were covered with black curtains. everyone wondered why the curtains were always down.

the hospital was extremely busy at this hour. doctors ran back and fourth, nurses pushed wheelchairs through the corridors, people came in and out of their rooms. everyone seemed rushed and impatient.

she sat on the brown leathered seats by the main desk. a few seats were occupied by individuals reading newspapers and sipping some coffee. it seemed a bit funny-- people were gladly drinking coffee while others were dying. that sounds bizarre actually.

she sat next to an old man, in a brown sweater. his pallid features stood out, as he read his newspaper. it was a very dismal setting. everything was so gloomy, it just reminded her what a mad world they live in.

the sight of such a setting gave her anxiety, and dismal thoughts. she paid no mind, however. she sat there, eager to leave. she hated hospitals. they reminded her of how cruel the world can be.

"isabella jung" a nurse called out. she jumped out of her chair, her eyes wide. "that's me" she slightly spoke. "follow me" the nurse spoke. the girl nodded as she followed the cold-looking nurse. the narrow, washed-out walls were nothing but dull. white they were, yet dark as stone. people had no choice but to live in such a world. the girl; however, paid no mind at all. she just walked through the corridors, like nothing was around in sight.

"the doctor will arrive shortly," the nurse told the young girl. the young lady nodded, as she awaited next to the door frame of her hospital room. she observed her surroundings. everything was painted coldly white, and silver, and washed-out blue. nothing was uplifting, except for the children's nursery that was three floors beneath. the walls over there were painted red, and blue, and yellow, and lilac. flowers and sunshines were plastered on every corner. it was quite funny-- how the children were surrounded with such happiness- in a dismal building such as a hospital full of infected individuals.

a tall man quickened his pace as he walked into the young girl's room. "i apologize for my tardiness," the man spoke. the girl smiled at his kindness "it's alright doctor byun" the girl spoke. the man looked sharp in his white attire. a coat, with an ivory colored badge hanging loose. his name engraved in bold within the badge. he was a doctor, a very kind one indeed.

"alright ms jung, may we continue at where we left off last time?" the kind man asked. the young girl nodded "of course," she spoke.
