"I told you, it had to be you." Taeyong cheesily said as he cup Jennie's face.

Jennie cringed because of it. She grabbed Taeyong's hand easily and pushed it away from her face. It was a harsh move so Taeyong groaned in pain.

"Aw!" Taeyong groaned.

Jennie just rolls her eyes. She doesn't care if Taeyong got hurt. All she care is about her newly gotten to derma face.

The "I told you, it had to be you." line of Taeyong from earlier is from the movie that they watch last sunday. It's not like a date, it is a friendly date and more likely a third and fourth wheel ft. couple date. After they watched that movie; as soon as they got off from the cinema, Taeyong keeps on repeating that line to her over and over again. He even does some gestures that made her cringe. Knowing Jennie, she would be annoyed because of that foolish trip of him.

"You're too cruel. Why are you doing this to me?" Taeyong complained with a 'ouch-it-still-hurts' face.

Jennie just shrug and sip the straw of her juice. Because of that, Taeyong desperately made a embarassing move that will make her notice him.

Taeyong suddenly sang a song with a loud voice. People at the canteen was already frowning because of his sudden performance. Some of them were even almost wants to complain. Jennie on the other hand had her usual annoyed face. She doesn't want to have a scene so she vigorously opened the cupcake that she had and put it onto his mouth. (Un) fortunately, Taeyong can't able to sing because of what she did. Instead of continuing to make a scene, Taeyong just munch the cupcake in his mouth.

"That was rude." Taeyong managed to mumbled but still wasn't clear to be heared and understand.

"Don't eat while your mouth is full." she preached.

The two didn't spoke again after that. They just keep on eating without noticing each other. Unlike earlier, they are not doing anything anymore.

Jennie and Taeyong is so close to each other. Even other people hinted that the two were going out and dating each other. When people asked questions like that, the two would just shrug and smile. Not mumbling any word. Though they want to complain and defend that there was never a "them", their tongue would not cooperate. At times likes that, their tongue is cutted.

The two had no idea why did they became like this. They are not sure why did relationship become so tied up like this. All they remember is they met each other at a shop. Jennie is the manager of that certain shop while Taeyong is the flirty costumer of that shop. Taeyong tried to flirt with Jennie but his charms wasn't effective enough to catch Jennie's attention. They had, unfortunately, had a fight. After that scene, Taeyong comeback to the shop again and sended her apologize to Jennie. And that were the start of their friendship.

Everything seemed unexpected. No one predicted it. Even the two. They just clicked with each other and boom! They abruptly became close.

They tried to date, yes. But it didn't work out. The two were nlt serious about each other. It was like so awkward and boring. It was a failed relationship so they ended up and decided to be friends again. After that failed relationship, they didn't bring out that topic again. They didn't look back from the past and continued walking towards future. They had relationships too after that. But it, as well, didn't work out. Because as their exes says, the two had a much more time to each other than their partners.

After all of those, Jennie and Taeyong proclaimed that they are unlucky when it comes to relationship. They even promised to each other that they would not enter relationship anymore.

Everyone is rooting for them. Even theirselves is rooting for each other. But unfortunately, they were dense. They were afraid that if they take the risk again, it would be the last station of their friendship. Staying as friends (with benefits) is all could they do. Stereotypical as it seems but as they said, you will only know what it feels when you are in his/her shoes.

"You are slow. We should get going." Taeyong hissed.

"Wait up. I'm still eating the last bite of my cupcake."

Taeyong mumbled 'okay' as he got off from his sit. He patiently waited for the girl to stood up. When Jennie stood up, she started walking as well. Taeyong was on her back, following her. The two were confusingly quiet today. Their faces says that the two have something to say. Something to vent out. But they decided not to say it. The two were afraid when some changes will occur once they say it. The consequences were undeniably scary. It is like getting yourself fall in a bridge but you are not sure if someone will catch you. It's risky and scary.

The sound of the wind and the sound of people and object around them were only occupying the ears of the two. Taeyong's hands were in his pockets while Jennie is just wandering around.

And when suddenly, Taeyong spoke up.

"Wait." he grunted. Jennie gave him a 'why?' look. The latter gets the message so he pointed out his shoe. His shoelace was loosened.

Jennie nodded. "Okay."

Taeyong kneeled down and tied his shoelace. It takes a seconds only but the latter isn't standing up. He was just there, looking down while the grip is still in the shoelace. Jennie got confused because of what he is doing so he asked him.

"What are you doing? Aren't you done?" she asked.

But Taeyong didn't respond. His position were still like that. Not moving even a bit. Because of that, Jennie initiate the move and slap his shoulder. Knowing Taeyong, he would complain that he got hurt. But now, it was different. He didn't even mumbled a single word.

"What's happening? Hey, Tae!"

Taeyong didn't move again. But he sighed.

"I can't take it anymore, Jen.." he mumbled. It was almost a whisper. "I love you. But we can't be lovers aren't we?"

Jennie just blinked. Too afraid that her answer might end the connection of the both of them. Taeyong waited a bit. But when Jennie didn't talk, he decided to stood up.

"Forget it." he said.

And just like that, Taeyong started walking away from her.

"Wait!"

"What?"

"It had to be you,"

Taeyong finally look back and mumbled, "huh?"

Jennie smiled with a rosy cheek. "I love you too."
