02: Cat Time

(Kageyama's POV)

I woke up in the middle of the night, hearing someone moving around. Probably Hinata, being restless. The rustling continued, annoying me to no end, and I finally moved out of my bed to see what was happening.

I padded across the bedroom, opened the door and peered out into the living room. No one in there. Moving put of my room, I attempted to go into the living room, but it was too cold.

Like way too cold. It was freezing into there. I shuffled back into my warm room. I grabbed a blanket, a fuzzy white and royal blue patterned blanket, and wrapped it around my shoulders. It draped down my body, effectively making it warmer. I was ready now.

I moved swiftly through the living room, and followed the rustling noises into the kitchen. No Hinata here. But there was still some rustling. I moved around the counter island, and saw....

A cat?!

No, a kitten. I had no idea how it got in here, but I crouched down and picked it up. Its fur wasn't fluffy and soft like a normal kittens, but was silky and smooth. As far as I could tell in the dim light was that the kitten was a grayish colour. I shrugged to myself, and walked back to my room with the kitten in hand.

I shut the door to my room, set the kitten down onto my bed and turned on the bedside lamp. I put the kitten closer to the light, noting how the fur was less gray and more silver. The kittens body was longer than most kittens and I guessed that it was a few weeks old. It jumped from my hold and ran across my room. I chased him around the room, making thing fall onto the ground and make loud thumps and crashes.

I heard a knock on the door and we both froze. "Kageyama?" I heard Hinata's soft voice through the door. The kitten sat down and cocked his head to the side. I grabbed him and he glares at me with his blueish slate grey eyes.

"Are you okay? I heard some loud bangs and stuff." His voice punctured through the door again. I blinked then answered.

"Uh yeah. I'm fine. You should, uh, go back to sleep." Hinata grunted in response, then I heard his feet pad away. I sighed before getting back to the task at hand.

"You will sit down, and stay in that spot until the morning, kay?" I whispered fiercely to the abnormally long kitten. It almost looked like it rolled its eyes at me, but when I set it down it just laid there except for its breathing and blinking.

I nodded then strode back to my bed and slipped under the blankets. I switched off the light and went to sleep.

(Hinata's POV)

My alarm clock buzzed.

And buzzed again.

And again.

After listening to it buzz at least 5 more times. I groaned, not wanting to get up and thankful for afternoon classes. I slipped out of bed, still half asleep, hitting the dismiss button. I tugged off my pajama pants and slipped on maroon skinny jeans and a sunshine yellow shirt. Walking to the bathroom, I grabbed my comb and roughly combed my hair, just enough so that I looked slightly awake. Brushing my teeth, I looked into the mirror to see that I had bags under my eyes. I spat out the toothpaste and rinsed my toothbrush.

I wondered what Kageyama was doing last night in his room. Maybe he was playing video games. Or...no definitely not that there weren't any noises, I should say, unless he was very quiet about it. That made me wonder more. How long was his di-

"Oof." I grunted as I fell onto the ground. I was so deep in thought that I bumped into him...oops. And I maybe forgot to tell you that I was gay. Honey, I am gay as hell. No shit. Kageyama glared st me through slitted eyes.

"So Kageyama, what were you doing last night hmm?" I queried because I actually wanted to know. His face slightly reddened, but he simply stated, "I wasn't doing anything..."

I raised an eyebrow, unbelieving. I can bet that he did do something and I can bet that it was dirty. Or I could be wrong and that he only sleepwalks.

"Is that so..?" I put up an innocent face, trying to convince him that I was only asking for definitely not sex related purposes. No.... definitely not.

"I wasn't!" He exclaimed, then sighed. "Alright, I'll tell you, but don't tell my cat. " I raised my eyebrow again.

"I found a kitten in the kitchen, and I need you to say that its yours to convince my cat that I wasn't cheating on him." I snorted. Then I smiled and said,

"Sure! But only if you let me keep it for real..." Kageyama looked relieved, and he let out a breath of air.

" I'll go get him..." He said, walking away to his room. I bounced my way into the kitchen looked through the cupboards and fridge before deeming them full of nothing, when in reality they had amazingly awesomely yumtastic foods. I shuffled around, sliding on the tiles with my socks when BAM I fell.

"Oof. What the shit." I exclaimed, when a sleek mass of kitten jumped onto my chest.

"GODAMMIT DUMBASS CAT" I heard Kageyama screech, before a whooshing sound and a thump was heard. I wonder if he fell. I wondered that until another body mass slid into my side, almost smashing me into the wall.

" Jesus Christ." I groaned. My side throbbed with pain. I sit up, and turned to Kageyama then squeaked. And blushed.

Omg holy shit he has abs holy fuckkkkk. I'm so gayyy I thought, while not creepily staring and drooling over his damn abs. He sat up, and his shirt fell back down, covering up those abs. I almost whined.

"Uh. Sorry" he said, and got up and offered his hand. I grabbed it and he hauled me up. I could feel a bruise start to form on my side. Nice.

" You okay?" Kageyama asked, so I smiled, made myself look like I wasn't dying on the inside. Okay, maybe that's a exaggeration. But it definitely hurt.

"Yeah! I'm fine." I gave him a closed mouth smile, and bent down to pick up the kitten that lay dazed on the floor.

"Do I have to buy cat stuff?" I asked and Kageyama scratched the back of his neck and nodded. I shrugged and walked off to my room.
