A/N: This poem was written a while ago about April Watson trying to find herself and her struggle to do the right thing, while also being manipulated by X. (I'm not sure I described it very well, but never mind). Originally titled 'Grey Morality'.
---
Wronged by the heroes, not by their foes
When she can't help not loving her saviour
In a family that doesn't understand her behaviour
And mocked when the world ain't Black or White
For what is it that makes them right?
What she needs is a fresh start; time to be apart
Away from the powers of Black and White
For what is it that makes them right?
Repeating the same script again and again
All she wanted was a little less fame!
Yet grateful for what she has; a second chance on Alcatraz
Forgetting the troubles of Black and White
Forgetting the reasons her family fights
For what is it that makes X wrong?
When she can prove who's right all along
Yet unknowingly falling; for X keeps stalling
Changing the definitions of White and Black
'Til the point that there's no turning back
For what is it that makes her right?
When no longer caught between the Knights?
