Hanging by a thread

Chapter 6

When the sun rose above the trees, Helena got out of bed and had some breakfast. She sighed, how could such a beautiful sun rise turn into a horrible day? When Helena had finally got her mom to get up, she and her drove over town, to the next one, etc. etc.
Still no sign of Kat.

Helena started to realize something, Kat had been acting weird for the past week. Maybe the person that had written that note, wrote more. And then Kat decided to run away. Trying to get away from her problems. Kat could be anywhere. Well in the state. She probably was in a different town. Probably the next one they were going to, hopefully. If she was right, and they found Kat, maybe she would tell Helena everything that had happened, the person that wrote the notes, if there was more then one person. She was getting way to ahead of herself. She had to understand that they had to focus on actually finding Kat.

When it's was around 3:00 in the afternoon. They went to use the bathroom, and to get some food. Still no sign of Kat. Helena was starting to get worried. This was not how it was supposed to go. They were supposed to find Kat, then bring her back, that would be exciting.

When it was getting dark. Helena's mom said that they had to get going, and they could continue tomorrow. Helena out up a fight, but when her mom says something, it goes.

By the end of the weekend. They hadn't found Kat. Helena's mom had said, "she'll show up eventually, she won't be able to survive without food and water." That was the thing Helena had missed! Kat needed food and water, it had been two days, you can't go two days without water. Butterflies formed in her stomach. Kat might be gone. Forever.
