"Helena!" Her mom called from the kitchen. "What?" Helena called back. "It's dinner!" "Ok!" Helena trudged down the stairs slowly. The glum look on her face, was super noticeable. If she didn't cheer up, her mom would notice and ask her. And Helena is a horrible liar, so her mom would find out sooner or later. Helena did her best to immature the mood  she felt this morning. But it just wouldn't happen. No matter how hard she tried. Her smile looked fake. Someone would notice.

"Helena, can you please wash you hands for dinner?"  Her mom asked. "Sure." Helena walked down the hall to the bathroom, she turned on the water, and wet her hands. No soap, she wasn't in the mood for coconut scent smell, to happy. She sighed, she really didn't feel good, her head ached, in fact. Her whole body ached. All she wanted to do was curl up in a little ball on her bed, and sleep for a week.

At dinner, the first thing her mom said to her was, "everything alright?" "Yeah, I guess." But everything wasn't  alright. Her best friend had probably just gotten a hurtful note. Kat was the nicest person she knew, she didn't deserve to get bullied. After all she had been through, breaking her leg. Her basement flooding. Her cat dying. Her life was crappy. Nothing ever good happened to her.
