Tell Me a Lie

CHAPTER 5

Josh is picking me up in a few hours. I want to get a new outfit. I head down town to find an outfit. I walk into my favorite store and guess who is an employee there? GRACE.

I can't even look at her. She did nothing wrong but, what would I even say to her? I start browsing around when she walks up to me and taps my shoulder. My heart stops. I am so bad with confrontation; I absolutely hate it. "Hey, Sophia?" she asks. I turn around to look at her. "Hi." I say. "Look, I really want to talk to you about Niall. Can we step outside real quick?" She asks. I nod and we head outside and sit on a bench. "Niall loves you." She says with no hesitation. "What? I ask. "You heard me correctly. He loves you." She says reassuringly. But, what? This just doesn't make sense. "I don't understand." I tell her. "Here's the thing. Niall left me because I was moving. He found you and fell in love with you. Now that I am back, I guess his feeling for me are back? I am not really sure. But, I can tell you that he loves you." She says. "How would you even know that?" I ask. "Because he told me." She says as her head begins to tilt downward. I can tell that she is hurting, too. "I'm sorry." I say. She looks at me confused. I continue, "I'm just sorry for this whole thing. I just wish it would all go away. I love Niall and I know he loves you, too..." she cuts me off and says, "I'm not getting back with him." I am shocked. Why? Why wouldn't she get back with him? "I can't handle his lifestyle. I love him, but I just don't think I can handle it." She says as she looks me in the eyes with sorrow. "I don't know what to say." I tell her. "Don't say anything. I'm not with Niall. You should stay with him." She says. I feel relieved. But, not completely happy. I like Josh... I feel like I should see how tonight goes. But, what about Niall? What will happen with him?
