Chapter 18

Angel pov

"It's been two whole days Logan! They must be in trouble I can feel it!" I yelled at him. "Kid they will be back soon. I bet they just had to take the long way back or they ran out of gas for the jet or something." Logan said. "My name isn't kid. It's Angel first of all and second I can sense when there is danger. And I'm sensing it RIGHT NOW!" I screamed. "Alright Alright kid...I mean Angel. I will see if they are alright just...stop yelling your going to rupture my ear drum or something k?" he said. "Fine." I said. Then I stomped
off to my room. I need to think of a plan if they really are trapped somewhere. The professor used Serebro to find the flock and I. Maybe I can find the professor and the X-men. I was just thinking about how, until I remembered how I talked to Max back in California when Fang and that weird doctor guy had a bit of an... incident. I'm just going to leave it at that. So maybe that long distance connection will work on the professor since he is way more powerful than me... I think. He's been saying a lot lately that I might eventually pass him.

It's rather weird actually, that I might pass him. Thinking about it made me shutter. I attempt at reaching him.

Professor? Professor, can you hear me?

No answer.

Oh well I'll have to try again some other way.

Then I remember that Sarebro is down the hall from me. The problem is getting in there because there is eye scanners and voice recognizers. Gazzy can help me get in. He is good at this stuff. So I walk down to Gazzy's room and knock on the door. He answers "Yes?" I respond back with "It's Angel. I need your help with something." "What do you need help with?" he said. I told him about my plan once he willingly opened the door. And by willingly, I mean I had to open the locked door with my mind. He agreed under one condition. He wanted me to talk to Logan about him being able to learn how to fire a gun. Oh joy. That boy and toys. First bombs, then explosives,now guns. Well at least he is running out of new ways of destroying. Anyways I talked to Logan who surprisingly said "Sure. It will do the kid some good to learn some new defense technics." When that was over Gazzy walked down with me to Sarebro and got me in. Yes! I walked down the really long walk way to the machine. I put the helmet on and turned the machine on. When I did, I saw everything. Mutants, people, even animals. I focused on the professor's voice and I could actually hear him!

Professor? Can you hear me? It's Angel?

Silence. Then a faint voice. Slightly british. Angel? What? How? Then he just said Oh.

Professor where are you? I asked.
He told me the address and that they had been captured. He said he had a plan of escape. If it didn't work he wanted me to use Sarebro again to contact me. He actually gave me permission to use it! Since the first time I actually just broke in.

I ran out of the room, down the hall, up the stairs and straight to Logan's room.

"LOGANNNN! I FOUND THEM! I FOUND THEMMMMM!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Logan responded with "Woah ki-Angel. Calm
down! Tell me from the beginning." I told him everything the professor said. Logan told me that we will listen to what the professor wants and we will have a rescue mission soon. Soon. Yeah right. We should be on our way right now,but no we will go "soon". So here I sit on my bed. I finally got that book to levitate. Sadly it only moved one centimeter to the right, but hey it's progress!

Charles pov

I found out where they were keeping the rest of the Xmen. They only kept Jean and I together because we are both telepaths. The rest of the Xmen are in different rooms designed for their certain abilities. So as of right now the other Xmen can't use their abilities. Surprisingly when Angel called me using Sarebro I actually could here everything again. I had my telepathic abilities for those few minutes while we talked, but now every time I try to reach out, it feels like needles are going through my skull. What a lovely feeling really, Don't you think? Sarcasm intended. So here I sit, I can't really do much else. I hear a voice outside the door say "What do you mean that blue monkey escaped?! I'm keeping guard while Magneto is in London and this happens! Magneto will kill me for this! Now go around the compound and try to find him!" that means there is only one guard outside the door and that Hank miraculously got away. Knowing him he got to the jet and is on his way back to the school to think of a rescue plan. "Jean." I said. "Yes Charles?" she asked. "We are getting out of here." I said. "How exactly are we planning to that?" She asked. "We are going to get out of this room first." I said. I told her my plan which made her yell at me and tell me that that it was "not a good plan charles" and how we will get killed before we escape here. "Have you ever heard the full version of the battle of how the cold war was prevented?" I asked. "Yes you have told me millions of times, why do you ask?" "Because I never told you how I actually got shot." I said. "You got shot because this women who was in the CIA accidentally shot you because she was actually trying to shoot Magneto." she stated. "All that is true except for the fact that Magneto also know as Erik tried to deflect the bullet from hitting him and well I got in the way and it hit me." I said. "Charles, Why aren't you angry at him for doing something like that to you?" She asked. I was quite for a minute then said " I never blamed Erik for what he did to me, because of what happened to him as a child. He may be an enemy, but no I don't blame him for me being shot. I only blame him for what he has done to this world these past years. He has almost started WWIII five times,blown up cities, leveled towns, demolished whole countries, just for more power." "Oh Charles...I didn't know...." She said. "Its alright this might be the only chance I have to get my best friend back. She left with Erik after the battle. Erik took everything from me. I have only seen her once since then and well she tried to kill me. Another long story to tell you one day. But now I need you to distract that guard for me."

Max pov

I slowly sit up, I feel a pain shoot up my right wing, it's definitely fractured at the least. Possibly even broken, but that's not important. The important thing is to get out of here. One problem, I can't fly and there isn't a window anyways. Just great. I wish that Fang was here. He would hug me and tell me that it would be ok. He was my rock. Now he is gone. Please Fang, come back. Oh, now I sound like I'm begging. I don't care right now anyways. I walk up and go over to the door and press my ear against it. I hear "THAT BLUE MONKEY SHOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN AWAY! Melanie tells me that it was all Jakob's fault. I knew he was horrible when he started here, but he got better. Now Magneto is going to end up killing him for this. No way around it. Only if Steve doesn't get to him first. He is in charge while Magneto is away." One of the guards said. "I think this Angel here isn't going anywhere. Lets go help Jakob find the monkey, so he might not die. Maybe he will only get a broken arm from it as a warning?" says the other guard. No guards outside the door. Yes. This is to easy I think. I go all the way back to the back of my cell and run and smash into the door. It breaks like glass and then I'm dashing through hallways, only a couple guards see me and when they do well they have a little "accident". I finally get to the next few cells where the professor,Jean, Scott and Hank(who escaped) are at. I found Scott's door first and smashed it down using a huge tool thing that I found. Concrete flies everywhere. "Max?!" he said. "Its me now let's go get Jean and the professor. I burst through the professors and Jean's cell door and help Jean get the professor up and out once we get out he freezes time. Yes he can do that people. But only temporarily because he is weak. We run out the doors and get to a large field. Guards are running out of the compound yelling orders and aiming there guns at us. Jean levitates all the guns and throws them at least a good mile. "Wow Jean I didn't know you where that good." I said. "It's a gift." Jean says. I hear a voice say "Hey guys the jets over here!" It was Hank's voice. He waited for us. We got about 3/4 way to the jet and then I saw Erasers. Hundreds of then, maybe 3,000 tops. Three words. We are dead. The professor responded with "No we aren't. He read my mind. I told him to never read it. I'm going to get him for it one of these years. Instead of a nice present for his birthday. I will throw a pie at that guys face. I would continue thinking of different ways of payback, but something made me look up. When I did, I saw the one face I have been wanting for the last week. Fang. He is here. "Hey! Do I always have to be the one to save you?" He came to help. I wonder how he even found out.
