Annabeth's POV

It has been 3 days since that idiot seaweed brain left me to be a hero again. Getting over him isn't as easy as I thought it should be. I know it is too damn upsetting to not know or too hard to see him get hurt but his idiotic selflessness is what made me fall for him in the first place. Of all the people in this world I had to fall in love with the most idiot son of Poseidon, well thankyou for nothing Aphrodite. I was in the bed as I heard a knock on the door but I chose not to bother. After a few minutes of loud knocking it stopped but something more annoying happened, an IM from Thalia.

"Annabeth open the door", Thalia shouted

"Go away, I don't wanna talk", I replied covering my head with a pillow.

"Annabeth! Open the bloody door or I swear I will break it"

"Uhh, Okay okay I'm coming", I hate her so much. I just wanted to be alone for a while, now is that too much to ask?

I got out of bed and lazily walked up to the door. I opened it to find an annoyed Thalia with two more hunters behind her. She rushed past me in the living room before I could say a word and the other hunters followed her. I closed the door behind.

"What do you want Thalia? I am really not in the mood to hang out."

"You are coming with us"

"Like hell I am. Why on earth would I join the hunters?" I grunted clearly stating my annoyance.

"Whoa there Annabeth, don't flatter yourself. You are not going to join the hunters but you are going to live with us until Percy returns."

"You want me to leave my apartment and my privacy behind to roam around in the woods with you. Wow, thankyou so so much for such a generous offer. How will I ever repay you?" the hunter sitting beside Thalia were snickering at my reply before Thalia glared at them.

"Hey, there is no need to get all sarcastic on me. Percy asked me to look after you and I think I can do that better if you stayed at our camp with us. We can give you a separate tent if you want."

"If he cared for me then he would be here to do that himself not hire someone else but Percy Jackson always has to be the hero. He only cares about that", I put all my hatred in that reply.

Thalia hung her head which made me feel bad, "You know as well as I do that, that couldn't be further from the truth. He would do absolutely anything for you. I know you are angry at him for doing this but think about how scared he would have been returning to that place alone. Any other mortal or immortal would have chosen to stay here and enjoy the bliss but not Percy and that is the reason why you fell in love with him".

I couldn't say anything as a lump formed in my throat and tears started to fall freely from my eyes. I tried to hold back a sob but failed miserably. I hid my face in my palms and sobbed as Thalia gave me a hug. After 10 minutes of crying my heart out I stood from the chair and started to walk towards my room.

"Hey, are you okay?" Thalia asked with her hand on my shoulder.

"I'm okay. I am gonna pack some stuff I will need and be back in 10 minutes", I replied before looking back.

I packed some clothes, my laptop, some drachma, my jagged bone sword and my daggers. I took a last look at our bed and returned to the hunters with my packed bag. I looked at Thalia who was standing in a corner with her arms crossed, "let's go", I said before walking to the door.

It took us an hour to reach the hunters' camp. They have been camping in a park, I wonder what the mortals think is happening here. After we reached the camp Thalia showed me my tent which was right beside her tent. As soon as I settled in, she took me to the armory and I picked the gears of my choice. I picked up a leather armor, a hunting knife, a bow and a quiver full of arrows. My sword hung on my left from my waist. I have become pretty attached to it after all this sword has literally gotten me through hell, well, along with Percy. I wonder how he is right now, is he hurt or worse. I shook these thoughts from my head and headed towards the archery range to train with the hunters.
