Skye's Story: Chapter 3
After the film had come to an end i glanced over at Steve, the credits rolling down the screen. The solider looked so adorable as he peeled his eyes away from the tv and looked in my direction; smiling, "that was an amazing film." He exclaimed, "definatly one of the best ive ever seen before!" Steve looked so excited, and so cute.
"Glad you liked it," i smiled back at him and dipped my hand into the bowl of popcorn sat on my handful for a handful. The captain happened to reach into the bowl to grab some of the cinema treat as well and our hands touched, it was as if a spark had come to life as our skin brushed against eachother; startling us slightly.
The way his body made a sudden start showed how human he still was, despite being about 92 years old and having part of his DNA being the super serum. The fact that he reacted like that showed his vulnerability and I found it adorable, the fact that he wasn't all serum and he still probably acts like he did in the 30's.
I retracted my hand as he flushed a rosy pink colour in his cheeks; removing his own hand Steve looked at the flat screen as the list of many names had almost come to an end. "So he saw everything as a game?" The solider asked as he seamed slightly confused.
"No, everything was actually the game. Everyone saw it that way; well i think so anyway." I corrected him, cheeks heating up myself. Turns out he was oblivious to my feelings, thank god.
He contemplated something, "But.... But that isnt logical." He stated truly.
In which i replied, "your right but most films now a days can be really messed up." I chuckled shortly thinking of all the supernatural movies, but dont get me wrong i love that sort of stuff but you have to admit they can be quite odd at times.
The captain nodded at my point as if he could read my thoughts, which i really hope wasnt the case because i dont want an Edward Cullen in my head.
That would be awkward since if he could hear me, Steve would know how cute i thought he looked. "Yeah, your right. Tony showed me a few films." He mentioned.
The famous Tony Stark, you hear his name alot being in a S.H.I.E.L.D facility and he seams to be on the news in someway all the time. "What sort if films?" I asked feeling inquisitive.
"Well there was that one with really big blue people who wore little clothing, then the humans tried to take their land...." He seamed to be thinking of its name. "The blue creatures rode dragon things, they lived in a big tree and there was a big battle scene at the end."
"Avatar." I stated, it's a good film which I happened to watch the other day coincidentally, "it won an award, its a truely remakable film." I couldnt help but watch the way the solider moved, the way his shirt hugged tight against his muscly chest, those gorgeous blue eyes. "So umm..." I broke myself out of my trance, "what other films?"
"Well," Steve started, "he showed me some films about these elves and dwarfs who go on this journey; all for this ring..." The solider rolled his eyes as he shook his head which I'm guessing meant he didn't like them.
"The Lord of The Rings," I answered smiling at him. "They drive me insane, they're to long winded." we looked at each other and our gazes locked, "I find them boring." I mentioned in a quite tone.
He broke the eye contact with me first and told me how Clint had shown him the Hunger Games -trust an archer to show him that. We talked about films that he had and hadn't watched and I found out he hadn't seen any of the James Bond films. "You seriously haven't seen a James Bond movie?" I asked in shock.
"I haven't really heard of them before." The solider looked so damn cute with that smile he wore.
"Well since you've done time as a popsicle, I'm going to make you watch Skyfall at least." I chuckled lightly and Steve still looked at me with that smile on his face that could melt a heart. "Then you can say you've officially lived," I smirked a bit.
"Whats so important about James Bond anyway?" He asked with a slight smirk.
"you really don't know anything do you?" I said teasingly. "they are one of the most popular sets of films which have been going on for 50 years this year." I stated as a matter of fact, smiling.
The captain chuckled, "you do know your facts well."
"well, like I said; im not just a pretty face." All I could think about at that moment in time was the way our hands and brushed, that smile - god it made my heart skip a beat - and those eyes, those deep blue eyes were so easy to get lost in. The sea of blues seamed to be staring at me but I was interrupted by the sound of Steve calling be back to reality.
"Skye?" The solider seamed to be concerned, maybe I was in a bit of a daze for longer than I thought, "you okay Skye?"
I blinked a couple of times and was snapped back to earth, "Sorry, hey." I smiled at the captain who sighed in relief, maybe he did think something was wrong - I guess he cant read my mind after all.
"So let me get this straight.." I rolled my eyes slightly, "you haven't seen Harry Potter either?" I asked shocked and was at his response.
"Well I have heard of him, his name does sound familiar." He pointed out.
I took a deep breath-but not obviously-before asking him what I knew I was about to say, I mean this could be taken to ways. "Okay I am so showing you those movies since I probably won't get you to read the books."
The super soldier just nodded a shrugged his shoulders a bit, "sure why not?" He asked. I knew the question was meant not really to be answered but I couldn't help think of all the possible reasons to do with why we shouldn't but I didn't want to ruin the moment; the moment that only I probably thought was a moment, moment.
Referring to my stunned moment that i tried to change the subject on Steve asked, "so what was that about?"
"I was just thinking about things." I smiled still and then my stomach rumbled; Steve smiled back at me and stood up.
"Come on, you need some lunch." He offered me his had, which I took and he helped me up with ease -impressive strength- then led me out of the door.
I looked at him curiously, "Where are we going?" I asked.
"There is this restaurant that has just opened around the corner from here." The solider let go of my hand still showing off that heart melting smile at me.
"Okay, just let me get my stuff quickly."
I calmly strolled to my room where I quickly pulled on my cherry red, heeled boots and grabbed my leather jacket. I picked my phone and purse up from my bedside table stuffing them into a sling shouldered bag, before taking a deep breath then heading back to Captain America who was waiting down the corridor.
