                                                                                   (Y/N) POV

(Backstory) I could never really figure out how to skateboard, but I do love roller blading, and it's rather easy to rollerblade around California, at least where I currently live. It was summer time, which means no school, no homework and minor responsibilities. My parents work a lot, so I'm usually out of the house or not in contact with them. This week, they are both going to The Mall of America up in Minnesota for some fundraiser thing, they are working commercial models, so they are pretty good looking, I've inherited some of their amazing genes, but i'm not nearly as good looking. I have no aspiration to become a model whatsoever, though. I want to be a singer or an author, or if I can, an actor in a comedy, but I'm merely fourteen, so I don't have to worry to much about my career yet.

(Present day) It is currently 5pm and I'm rollerblading to a quiet, secluded beach that barely anyone goes to, because it is so rocky and the water is polluted and nasty, but I enjoy it.

It gives me time to think, the sunset is always the prettiest there and there is always a street performer. Today, an older woman sang a beautiful cover of Amazing Grace and a homeless man played the drums on a large plastic bucket.

I had a comfy, yet somewhat stylish outfit on (below).

I heard laughter that was obviously from a teenager boy because of the voice cracks and clapping and of course, a friend's voice and I couldn't quite make out what they were saying

I heard laughter that was obviously from a teenager boy because of the voice cracks and clapping and of course, a friend's voice and I couldn't quite make out what they were saying. I turned around and a saw a boy with long, dark brown, curly hair with pale skin and a nice outfit that was different from the under armour tank tops that most guys I know wear. He was the one laughing.

I then looked at his friend, with light brown, noodle-like hair and a white t-shirt

I then looked at his friend, with light brown, noodle-like hair and a white t-shirt. They were both very cute, and they looked to be around my same age.

I looked back at the black-haired one, he was stopped in his tracks and was staring right at me, with awestruck eyes

I looked back at the black-haired one, he was stopped in his tracks and was staring right at me, with awestruck eyes. The brown-haired one kept walking and talking, not knowing his friend stopped.

Our eye contact stayed intact for about fifteen seconds, then I turned red from blushing and turned around quickly, nervously twisting around a strand of hair in front of my face. I bit my lip and smiled a little.

I glanced back and he was still looking at me.

He mouthed "Come here tomorrow, same time."

He grinned at me and I saw him blush a little when I nodden my head.

                                                                                           Finn POV

Wyatt Oleff and I were just walking down by the beach while joking about Nintendo games and old vines when I saw a girl. She sat on top of a rock that was close to the water, she wore jeans and a vintage t shirt and her (y/h/c) blew behind her on the windy day. I stopped walking and I stood there, it was the first time I stopped like that for a girl I've never met.

She was looking at the water, and then I saw her look at me, and then to Wyatt. She looked back to me and met eye contact, I knew it was for awhile, but it seemed so short. Her cheeks and neck turned a bright shade of red, she bit her lip and turned around really fast, I saw her playing with her hair, but I couldn't stop looking at her.

She turned back around and I couldn't help it, I mouthed asking if she would meet me here again, and she nodded her head.

My heart felt like it was floating, I've never developed a crush this fast, she was so pretty, and she seemed different than all of the other girls who only liked me and wanted a photo of me to boast to their friends.

Despite her beauty, she seemed nervous and almost shy.

I blushed and turned back around to catch up to Wyatt, him looking confused when I was breathing heavily from running up next to him.

"Dude, did you even hear what I said?" Wyatt questioned.

"No, I was... busy." I smiled goofily and looked behind me at the girl again, who drew a heart in the sand next to her.

Wyatt turned around and looked at her as well, he rolled his eyes and chuckled.

"I wonder what Millie's gonna say." He asked rhetorically.

"Just because she still likes me does not mean we're dating. I broke up with her a year ago, remember, and it was only for publicity." I rolled my eyes.

(NO HATE AGAINST MILLIE, SHE IS A QUEEN, THIS IS JUST A STORY.)

"Dang man, I was just joking, no need to get all defensive. That girl is pretty cute though, did you ask her out?" He asked, more seriously this time.

"Yep, I asked her to meet me here tomorrow and she nodded her head, Finn: 1, Wyatt: 0." I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Cool it, Romeo." He responded sarcastically.

I will write chapter two soon, thank you for reading, if you got this far. <3
