Chapter Four: Hospital fiasco

A/N: The POVs will be changing quite a few times in this chapter.

Aruella's POV

Pain, that was all I feel.

Darkness, that was all I see.

Where am I? Am I dead?

Then I heard an annoying beeping noise and someone saying something but it was as if the person was speaking in another language. Then, my sense of smell returned, I smelt bleach and pills. Hospital. I thought. Then, another smell wafted through my nose. A mix of cologne and musk. It smells good. I thought.

I tried to inhale more of that intoxicating smell when my hearing suddenly returned. "Aye, prinsesa, I'm so sorry. I should've been careful and hadn't distracted you from making that potion, I should've shut my piehole. Now, I put one of the most important people in Equestria in the hospital," The person said. Jettè. I thought.

I tried opening my mouth to reply, but it was sealed shut as if there was a force stopping me from doing so.

Jettè's POV

I only acquired a few injuries, mainly bruises, specially on the face. Aruella got way worse, she has a broken rib and her face is mostly black and blue. The doctors here don't have to get a degree to become a doctor, what they need is to have the medical charm. They healed me quickly and they healed Aruella but they said that she will still need to recover for a week or so, since the magic will take some time to heal her fully because she acquired a lot of damage.

I felt so awful that I will watchover her until her parents arrive. I was talking to her but wasn't sure if she heard but I still kept blabbering to my hearts desire and kept on apologising.

Her mouth twitched! I thought and quickly ran to outside to find a nurse and inform her about what I saw.

I saw one at the lobby, texting, and quickly approached her. "Ummm... hi, I just want to tell you that the pati-" she cut me off and said, "I'm busy kid, go find someone else," she said snobbishly. "But-" "No buts! As I said I'm busy. Now head off. Shoo!" She said. I caught her name Cyrill and headed off to find another nurse.

I roamed the hospital but found none, until I saw a doctor by the corridor. "Sir, I need you to go check on my friend. Dhe was passed out when we came but I saw her mouth twitch a few minutes ago,"  I explained. "Ok, young man. What room is she in?" the doctor asked. "She's in the royal ward, room 211," the doctor's eyes widened at what I said and quickly rushed off towards Aruella's room, me following behind. While on our way there I filled him up about the earlier situation with Cyrill. He was shocked about the revelation and said that he will deal with her after checking in on Aruella.

Aruella's POV

Ouch! I thought as I opened my eyes and the bright lights of the hospital welcome me. I scanned the room for any signs of Jettè but he wasn't there. Was I only imaging his voice then? I thought while blushing. Why am I feeling like this? Do I like him? I blushed even more at the thought. Maybe I do! Oh God! This may break our friendship so I'll just keep quiet about it.

Suddenly the door was opened, making me jump in shock, and in came a doctor followed by Jettè. I think my eyes formed hearts at the sight of him.

"Princess, you are awake. Let me check your vitals and I'll be out of your hair," the doctor said and did as he said, he was out within minutes.

I was about to speak to Jettè when I heard a commotion outside. "My baby! Where's my precious little baby?!!" A woman screamed. Mom, I thought while rolling my eyes. Ever the dramatic woman.

The door was burst open and my whole family piled in, bearing balloons, cakes, flowers, and get well soon cards.

My mom approached me and practically jumped on me and said, "My poor baby, I shouldn't have let you go to that school. I should've just homeschooled you like before. I'm a bad parent," she was crying at this moment and went on with muttering things about how she should've protected me more and other stuff.

My dad pried her off of me and said, "sweetheart, she will be fine, it was just an accident in the lab. It happens most of the time," my dad tried to reassure mom as much as possible and then her sobbing stopped and she was calm.

After the drama, their attention was diverted towards Jettè. "Who are you?" Castiel asked. "I'm Jettè Micheals, your highness," he replied. "What are you doing here?" my grandma asked. "I was her chemistry partner and since I felt awful I decided to watch over her until you came, maam," he said. "Oh how nice of you young man and for that we will reward you with a medal of honor," my father said while smilling at Jettè. "Oh you don't have to, your highness," Jettè said while blushing.

How cute! I thought while my heart beat quickened making the machine beep faster but I quickly calmed down as to not worry them.

"You will be rewarded, Jettè. You can't do anything about it," Castiel quipped. Jettè just smiled and nodded meekly.

After that their attention was once again on me. "As for you, young lady, you will be in the bed for two weeks and we will have Jettè send your school works at the castle, is that fine young man?" my mom said switching from looking at me to Jettè. "Ofcourse, your highness," he said while nodding quickly.

After all of that, Jettè went home and my parents asked the doctors if I could be checked out and when he gave them the thumbs up, of to home we go.

This will be a long two weeks, but I will still get to see Jettè every weekday though. I thought before falling asleep on our way home.
