The girl with the rainbow

Day one of "hell"

As soon as I walk in calculus I notice that my class is full of people that I hate, none of my friends are here. I walk to the back of the class and sit next to this guy who I think is a guy named Ezra, and this girl named Brooke. I get my notebook out of my bag and lay it on the desk. A lot of people at my school would call me a "popular" kid but I don't really think I am, I like doing my work unlike all of my friends, I also am not as mean to people as they are. Brooke looked over at me and seemed to scoot as far away as possible, people seem to avoid me because of my "popularity" I don't really understand why though. The kid whose name I thought was Ezra leans towards me and says "my names Eli it's nice to meet you" and he extends his hand. "Names Skylar," I say as I shake his hand awkwardly. Its nice to meet someone who doesn't know who I am and my whole life story. Finally, the teacher walks into the class and starts droning on about how this year is going, about her personal life, and what her name is. I just kind of tune it all out because I just don't care today.

*ding* 

"All right class is over you may go," says the teacher (whose name I already forgot.)  When I walk out of class Ash is standing on the side of the door and at first, I don't notice him until he grabs me on the waist from behind.

"So how was your first class?" he asks. I just stare at him with no response. "That bad, huh," he says. I nod.

"How about if I walk you to your next class, will that make it better?" he questions.

"Yes," I say as I smile up at him. He grabs my hand and walks me to chemistry. 

"bye," he says as he kisses me on the head and walks away. I wave bye at him and walk through the door, I go and sit at the back of the class again. As I reach down to grab my notebook from my bag I see that the girl next to me has a rainbow bracelet on her right hand. She notices me staring at it.

"do you like it?" she asks.

I look up and meet her eyes which are a very vibrant and beautiful green "Yeah it's very pretty, I don't think I've ever seen you before" I say.

"Thanks, and I just moved here over the summer," she says her voice soft and silky. 

"Well its nice to meet you my names Skylar," I say very unsteadily. There was something about this girl that made my chest tight and my heart race, I had never felt like this until now.  

"My names Larkin it's nice to meet you too," she says just as the teacher comes rushing into the class out of breath.

Chem goes exactly like calculus the teacher Mrs. whats her face talks about things no one cares about. I couldn't help but stare at Lark every now and then. The way her raven black hair fell off her shoulder and how she chewed on the end of her pen made my stomach do flips and turns. There was something about her that I couldn't ignore.

I really like this story so I think I'm going to continue it. (It's about to get good) sorry for the shortness ;)
