"CHARLIE! ARE YOU AND YOUR SLOW ASS ALMOST READY?!" screamed my 22 year old adoptive brother from the downstairs hall.

"Crap." I said to myself as I leaped out of bed and dashed to my closet, scrabbling to put on the outfit I had chosen for the first day of traveling (and my 18th birthday!): A heather grey cashmere sweater, guys grey and red plaid sweatpants, and grey uggs. I dragged my suitcase down the stairs and out the front door as I frantically tied my black and blue hair into a messy bun. I made it just as the clock flipped to 5:00 AM.

"Fuckin hell, Charlie. You look like shit." Jack Barakat, aka my brother, said. I rolled my eyes as I walked back and claimed a bunk right above Rian. "Thanks, Jack. I love you too." And I had to spend the summer with these guys?

"Can you guys attempt to be quiet for like half an hour? I am so tired." I pleaded two hours later as they decided to play COD: Modern Warfare with the speakers blasting. All they did was turn the speakers up and flip me off. Sighing, I pulled my iPod out of my purse and put on "Ever After" by Marianas Trench in an attempt to drown out the guys screaming at each other. I finally drifted off into a fitful sleep, but not for long.

"AAHHH!" I yelped as I felt myself falling through the air and towards the ground. I braced myself for the impact, but instead heard an "Oof!" as I landed on someone’s head. Oh god, who did I land on? I scrambled off of whoever it was and looking down, I saw Jack. I couldn't help it. I busted out laughing. "Bitch that hurt!" he exclaimed as he glared at me. I stuck my tongue out at him and dashed out of the bunk area.

"Zack help me!" I yelped in mock fear as I jumped on the couch and hid next to him. "I'll protect you from the mean Jack monster." he promised me, hugging me and laughing at Jack as he tried to get past Alex, who had also decided to come and help.

"I'll get you eventually!" he growled at me as he walked away to his bunk, probably to brood. I smirked at Zack as I got up and went back to my bunk, hoping not to fall out of it again.

I woke up to the bus screeching to a halt and all of the boys rushing out, screaming and giggling. "Hey Matt!" I called to the manager of ATL, Matt Flyzik, as I stretched and hopped to the ground.

"Yeah?" he asked, swinging his arm over my shoulder and grinning down at me. "Who are the other bands that are gonna be on tour with us?" I asked, grinning back up at him. "The Maine, Hey Monday, and Marianas Trench." I nodded, happy. I loved ALL of those bands, and The Maine and Hey Monday were like my family.

An hour later I lay in my bunk, nodding my head to "Kaleidoscope Eyes" by Panic! At the Disco and reading the seventh HP for at least the 1000th time.

"Ohhhhhh CHARLIE!" came a singsong voice from outside of the closed curtain of my bunk. I threw back the curtain and squealed.

"JOHN!" John, in case you didn't know, is the lead singer of The Maine, and one of my best friends. "Hey." he laughed. "I've missed you so much!" It had been over a year since we had seen each other, because of school and touring.

“Is the rest of the band here?” I asked as I pulled my hair into a bun. John nodded and took my hand, leading me out past the 3 other tour buses and stopping in front of a tent with a huge table full of food inside. “CHARLIE!!!” came the loud shout from inside the tent, and out ran Garrett, Jared, Kennedy, and Pat. “Hey guys!” I laughed as they picked me up and  sandwiched me between them, crushing my ribcage and cutting off my circulation. Thankfully, they put me down before I died of suffocation. ‘Are you going to watch the show tonight?” asked Pat as he handed me a can of Mt. Dew. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” I replied with a smile. “Especially since Marianas Trench is going to be there.” teased John; he knew how much I obsessed over their music(and them). I grinned, knowing I had been caught. “BOYS!” came the loud, nasal voice of their manager. “TIME FOR SOUNDCHECK!” They all rolled their eyes and glanced apologetically at me as they walked slowly towards the venue.
