"Come on Brodie, we need to go" I said, nagging at my younger brother. We were at the Ball "Estate", celebrating their championship title win.

He looked at me with pleading eyes, "LaVar said I could stay if I was allowed" He asked sweetly. I looked at him annoyed, knowing that I could've left earlier.

"Fine, I'll pick you up tomorrow" I said, picking up my keys from the counter and throwing them in my sweatpants pocket.

"Thank you for having me over!" I said making my way to the ball family. They all smiled getting up as I kissed their cheek goodbye.

"Remember you always gotta home here, Bub. You practically family" LaVar said loudly. I smiled genuinely.

"Thanks" I answered, starting Zo and I's handshake.

"Catch you up real soon, b" zo said and I nodded, showing my self out. I closed the door behind me and kicked the gravel stones playfully as I made my way to my car.

"You leaving already?" A voice sliced through the airy silence. I dropped my keys in shock and turned around, meeting the eyes of extremely familiar boy. "Fuck gelo," I huffed, chuckling lowly, bending down to retrieve my keys.

"May I come with?" Gelo asked, moving across the gravel stones. I threw the keys at him, lowkey annoyed.

"Sure, you're driving" I said and hopped in the passengers side. As he pulled out of the driveway, he attempted making small talk. The car ride was silent. But not awkward, as we were bestfriends, we half the time we spent "hanging out" was silence.
Gelo and I are the same grade, we grew up with each other. We played basketball for the same club and school. We were so comfortable with each other it was odd. Odd to the fact that we would ask questions some bestfriends would hold of- for example; he would always ask me if his dicks long enough, before explaining why girls keep constantly shooting him down. I have my weird moments where I ponder with or not one boob is bigger than the other.

"Y/n" he spoke softly, turning the car off and pulling the keys out of the ignition. I fluttered my eyes open and unbuckled my seat belt, hopping out the car and shut the door. Locking the car, then picking out my house key, he unlocked the front door and scratched the back of his neck as he walked to the kitchen. I yawned and shut the door behind me, locking it and setting the alarm.

"Im hungry" he said rubbing his stomach as he said on the island.

"Didn't you eat at the barbecue?" I rolled my eyes, opening the fridge and looking for him.

"Hell nah, wasn't feeling it tonight" he admitted making a Stanky face before putting his palms by his sides, distributing his weight.

As I rummaged through the fridge, gelo spoke from his temporary silence, "where's your parents?"

"Colorado, it's their anniversary" I said before throwing a grape in my mouth.

"So you rocking with yourself tonight?" He asked.

"Yup, unless you crash here" i said and poured his favourite cereal in a bowl and handed it to him. He crinkled up his nose,

"Cute" He said mockingly, "you remembered" he pressed sliding off the counter and lead the way to my room.

He took a seat on the edge of my bed and turned on my t.v, watching re runs of Zo's game last night. I flipped the light switch on and he squinted his eyes.
