The Sniper himself

-

I sat at my desk, drumming my pencil on the hardwood and bouncing my left leg up and down, allowing my self to become deeper and deeper into my day dream. I felt a tap placed upon my shoulder. I swung my head around to see someone hand me a paper note. I take it into possession as I stopped my pencil tapping and leg bouncing. As I unfolded the piece of paper and scanned over the messy hand writing.

             You ever had sex before?
                                       -Melo

I laughed mentally before I turned my head around to look at the boy. His focus was on me, biting his lip, watching my every move. I rolled my eyes, scrunched up the piece of paper and threw it across the room and into the rubbish bin.

"Miss, Y/L/N, that is inappropriate behaviour. Pack your things and visit the principle's office" my teacher spoke. Everyone laughed as I shut my books and picked up my basketball. I walked out without responding to his next questions, avoiding his time.

Who does he think he is? He best be dumb if he thinks I'm really going to the principle. I began bouncing the ball down the hallway.

"Wait up, y/n" a voice echoed down the long corridor. I turned around to find a tall, lanky boy walking fast to catch up to me.

"Watchu want, ball?" I said making sure he got my vibe by exclaiming his last name.

"To be next to you" He said finally catching up to my pace before snatching the ball out of my grip. He began bouncing it out of habit.

"You must have some nerve giving me a note like that" I said, while walking out the glass front doors of the school.

"Nah just curious," he said before pulling out his car keys. "My brothers always told me to shoot my shot" he said shrugging, and beeping his car unlock throwing his school bag on the backseat.

"That's a big shot for a small boy," I stated plainly. He chuckled lowly and look at me.

"Can you come back to mine," he said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I need help with my calculus" he said before looking up with me. As the school bell chimed, signalling the end of school hours I walked over to the passenger.

"Sure why not" I said and hopped in the car. "Let's leave now and beat the traffic," I said dryly and buckled my seat belt.

He smiled, "thas my girl" he said and winked.

As we walked to his front door my breath was hitching in my throat. He turned the knob of the door and pushed it open. I stepped inside after him and everyone who was in the kitchen stopped their once-yet important conversation, and focused on me.

"This is y/n" Melo said and greeted me as I walked beside him to the kitchen.

"Hi, I'm Lamelo's tutor" I spoke, holding my hand out towards his dad.

He accepted my handshake and smiled, "Hello y/n! I'm LaVar. Melos dad" he said, rather a bit too loud to my liking.

Damn boi, we ain't down the road

I thought, but smiled politely. He winced playfully at my handshake, "You must play ball with that grip of yours girl" he exclaimed making his two older brothers take more interest in me.

"Then and there" I played it off. Not trying to sound conceited.

"Wait," LaMelos oldest brother, Lonzo, spoke. I looked at him and he stared at me analysing me and my looks.
"You play ball?" He asked and I nodded.
"And your name is y/n?" He asked again and I nodded once more. His eyes widened and gelo shot him a look.
