~This is a fiction story. Any true events are accidental~
"Hey Daniel, get over here!" I turn to see my friend Michael calling me. I turn and start walking towards him. Suddenly I'm tackled by my other friend Riley.
"Take that, Grey!" he says, and laughs. Together we start walking toward Michael. I look over at Riley. He is tall, with dark brown hair and eyes to match. He is unearthly skinny. Michael is tall also, but built more. He has the original combination of blonde hair and blue eyes. Me? I'm shorter, and average skinniness. I have light grey eyes, hence the nickname Grey, which don't go very well with my light brown Hair.
"What's up?" I ask as soon as Michael is within earshot. It's the first day back to school, so there is a lot of catching up.
"Not much. How's it feel to be grade nine?" he asks.
"High school. Pretty good actually." I say.
"But we're the little fishes again." Riley points out.
"Yeah," Michael says, "oh yeah! I found a new great video!"
"Really?! Lets see!" Riley practically shouts. We started watching the videos close to the end of last year. We saw people doing parkour and freerunning, and decided to give it a try. We've been doing it ever since. Michael fishes his phone out of his pocket and brings up the video. As the video plays I mentally point out some of the moves. Double kong, webster, tic tax precision, gainer.
"Woah! That guy just did a double backflip!" Riley says.
"Yeah. That's amazing!" I reply. And with that the bell to go to homeroom rings. The three of us walk in class. Riley splits off to go talk to his girlfriend, Sarah. I notice that there are two new kids in our class, one boy and one girl. The boy looks nice, but you can't always be sure. I make a mental note to meet him later. I look over at the girl and my breath leaves me. She is cute, with a tall lean frame and blonde hair. But what really captures my attention is her eyes. They are grey, a darker grey than mine, but stunning anyways.
"Dude, go talk to her." Michael tells me.
"No! I'll mess up, I always do." I reply. But Michael isn't the kind of person to let you off the hook easily.
"Then I will." he says, and I can tell he means it as a challenge.
"I hate you." I say and walk over to the new girl. "Hi! Ummmmm... I realized
Your new here, and uhhhh... I thought I could introduce you to everybody." I say, hoping I sound more confident and casual that I feel. She looks up and once again I'm mesmerized by those beautiful eyes.
"Oh. That would be awesome! Thanks!" she replies.
"Alright, I'm Daniel, and I've been going to this school for two years. This, is my friend Michael."
"I see you've met the class loser." Michael says, winking to let her know he's kidding.
"Haha, very funny," I say sarcastically "Michael, this is..."
"Amy." the new girl says. Amy seems to be the perfect name for her.
"And, on with the tour." I say. We walk across the classroom to Riley and Sarah.
"This is my other friend Riley, and his girlfriend Sarah." I say to Amy. To Riley and Sarah "And this is Amy.
"Hey." Riley says, and we move along. Along the way I introduce her to Rebecca, James, Carson, Ashley and Dawson. There is two last people, that I look at and turn away from.
"What about them? I want to meet absolutely everybody." Amy tells me. Sighing, I turn and lead her towards them.
"Amy, this is George and Derek." I say. George walks up to her, openly checking her out.
