Simon had spent the entire night slumped in his desk chair, waiting for a reply from Taz all the while. In the hopes that it would make time pass by faster, he decides to update.
He was hoping that this would also get Taz to update after him. He wondered if he had even seen the messages. He could only hope.
After finally managing to publish the next chapter and still no word from the other writer, he decides to read the comments from his previous chapter.
Curiosity gets the best of him after finding out a certain ship seemed to be sailing for his readers; and it wasn't his characters. With this in mind, he decides to post a message on his message board which read:
[ ayyyy guys, its @STRAIGHT-Outa-Town! I've been wondering. Whats got everyone shipping me with @NotWhoYouThinkIAm ???? I'm really curious. But annnyway! As soon as someone answers me I'll post a new chapter okay??? Thanks to all you STRAYS I appreciate you reading my book!😗 ]
He sends it out for his readers to see- the "STRAYS" as they liked to call themselves.
He hears a soothing chime sound from across the room as Mark's phone goes off.
Peeking his head up over the backrest of the cushion-y seat he sees that the younger boy was still fast asleep. He wondered if it would be okay to check the notification.
He ponders on the thought for a long moment before he finally stands up and sneaks over.
Sneaking a glance Mark's way as he makes his way over, he can't help but notice how peaceful the hooded boy looks. As he gets closer, it's hard to believe it was the same person in the car with him.
He couldn't help but smile. Taking one more step, he screams as he falls onto the bed on top of Mark and partially on top of Tommy.
The elder of the two jolted awake with such a shock that he shook slightly; but Tommy, he slept on like a baby.
"F*ck! Stupid Lego!"
Mark frowns when hearing Simon moan out in pain, his head now rested on the younger's stomach.
"What happened?" Mark asked gently as he peeks over at Simon.
"Uh– No, no. Its nothing." Simon pushes Marks head back down. "Sleep"
"I can't," he mumbles.
Simon looks at him and sighs. "I woke you now you cant sleep?"
"No..." He trails off with a frown. "I just slept enough."
Simon frowns at the younger's words. "That was enough?''
"How long have I been asleep?" Mark asks curiously.
"Less than five hours??"
"That's enough then, yes."
Simon shook his head. "No, it's not." He pushes the younger's head back down. "Go sleep."
"I can't." Mark mumbles softly.
The elder sighs and clicks his finger. "If you don't sleep I'll force you to smell my armpits."
Mark ignores him. "I want to use the bathroom and you're laying on top of me."
"Am not," Simon says.
"Well then Timmy is."
"Naaah I'm laying on you. You have a very comfy stomach–"
"I need the bathroom, Simon," Mark interrupts.
