Backstory: Kira was orphaned with Keith, and became skilled with him at the Galaxy Garrison before being expelled with her twin brother for "discipline issues." She went with him to the desert because Keith had told her he felt something there. When they found the Blue Lion, the twins investigated the surrounding caverns. They suddenly appeared at the crash site where Shiro returned to Earth, and joined the other Paladins in rescuing Shiro from the Garrison Military. Kira and Keith then began their lives as Paladins.
