Naima's p.o.v

Finally, we're going home to start our everyday life with our new family member. The hospital wanted to hold us as long as possible, mostly to keep an eye on me. Elsea is perfectly fine, but since I had some complications while giving birth they had to check that everything is still working as it should. And everything does seem fine, so I should be able to go home without any worries.

Lisa and Sean has lived at our house these days and they will stay with us for a while, just to help us out as much as they can. Obviously they won't be able to see us that often, so they want to really enjoy these first days as much as they can.
Cameron and Ethan has visited us as much as they could, but they have been busy. I know that they'll always support me and help me, so it doesn't really matter.

But Elsea has really been an angel. She has slept much, and when she has been awake she has been so easy to handle. She's really easy to breastfeed and she's so cozy to cuddle. But I can easily tell that she's a daddy's girl. Firstly, she looks exactly like Grayson and secondly, Grayson always manage to calm her down. He's such a good dad, I love him so much.

Oh I almost forgot, the story about her names. Well, Elsea is because we found that name and we thought it sounded really cute and unique. Her middle name Pearl was actually Cameron's wish, she wanted our first born baby to always remember that she's a pearl. Both Grayson and I loved that name and its meaning, so we went with it. And it all feels so right.

"You ready to leave baby?" Grayson says and I nod.

"Yep" I pop the 'p' before I give Elsea a kiss on her forehead. Then I gently put her down in her carrier and put the blanket over her. "Lets go home"

I take Grayson's hand and we say goodbye to the room. I can't believe that I've lived Elsea's first days in there, it's so surreal. We didn't get far when a midwife stops us.

"I need to tell you guys that there's paparazzi outside. Somehow the word got out, and there's maybe a dozen of them. We have security ready for you to take you to the car, just to be safe" I look up at Grayson and he looks down at Elsea worryingly. And I don't blame him, how in heaven did the word got out? This is the parts I hate about being in the public eye, you can't even enjoy some time with your newborn baby.

"Oh, alright. Just give us some time to rearrange" Grayson says, obviously startled. The midwife leaves us alone and Grayson turns to me.

"What do we do?" He asks me and I start to think, because I don't really know.

"My suggestion is that I take Elsea in my arms and we cover her with blankets. Lots of them" I suggest and he slowly nods.

"Should work for now. Come on" he says and I take Elsea up from her carrier before putting a pacifier in her mouth to keep her as quiet as possible. I know this is gonna be a challenge, but it will have to work. I gently cradle her in my arms and then I put the blankets on her body, but wait to cover her head. Grayson walks away to get security while I stay with Elsea in my arms.

I talk to her, just to not make her scared. I can see that she's looking around her with big eyes, almost scared. While I talk to her, I think about all this. I'm a mother forever now, everything is gonna change so much. But it's perfect, when I saw Elsea for the first time I got a feeling that I've never had before that I can't explain.

Before I got any further, Grayson comes back with two very big men. They almost scare me, they are so tall compared to small me.

"You ready to leave?" The smaller one of the two men says and I nod. Grayson takes his jacket off and put it in front of my face as we get to the doors. I smile at him as a thank you before I put one of the blankets to cover Elsea's head, mostly the eyes. I know that the flashes outside those doors are gonna be intense, so I wanna protect her.

Grayson opens the doors and we start to rush out. I hear our security telling the paparazzi to stop with the flashes, but it doesn't help. Without really seeing anything since Grayson has his jacket over my head, but judging by the sound it may be a dozen cameras, just like the midwife said. I hold Elsea tighter as we increase the pace, but I soon hear Elsea starting to sob.

Luckily, we're almost at the car but I try to hush her as good as I can. I hear the car door open and I quickly get in the backseat with Grayson as the driver starts the car. I hand Elsea to Grayson since he's better than me to keep her quiet. He cradle her in his arms while he hums a little song. She quiets down and we can put her in her car seat, and she falls asleep quickly.

Grayson has Elsea in his arms while I'm leaning onto him and we stop outside our house. He turns his head and gives me a kiss on my forehead, I smile up at him. Then I give Elsea a kiss.

"Look Elsea, this is your home"
