You're just a part of my migration

Thought I heard someone's calling out my name,
Shouted desperately asking for me to come
And I ended up ignoring that shame.

I was tired of flying miles away
Looking for a place to stay
When I saw that lonely island peered at me  clouds.

I landed my feet on that island; eerie.

That voice I heard again and it's different
From the last time,
It was lenient yet sharp
Loud but weak and it belonged to that island,
It touched the deepest edge of my heart.

But I was young and immature,
Rebel was just my nature
And it caused our relationship a fracture.
We're broken.
And the harder she tried the further I go
So she decided to let me go.

In the end, you're just a part of my migration
Not a place for me to dwell.

Now I'm flying with regret of what has done,
Looking for another island; another you.
