Maybe it was something the fog causing it, but you always had thought, as much as the residents of this dangerous and bizarre town was, they were seemingly very beautiful. Hauntingly type, beautiful, that is. Cloud had come out of his large wolf form to transform into a beautiful lean blonde man, tall and slightly brooding. You can tell by that special glow of his sea green eyes he had more worries than anything else.

You followed the crunch of the leaves on the path, trailing behind to where he was leading you – perhaps it was blind trust but you had to trust him to in order to save your friend. It was a suffocating silence and tension was just as thick as the fog that lingered around you both.

"Oh! It's Cloud! Heyyyyy! Over here!" a voice suddenly called.

Flinching at the sound, your hands instinctively shot up to the edge of your hood of your poncho – pulling it down as much as possible even though it was already on. A slight comfort came over to you, when Cloud swivelled to position himself in front of you to face whoever the new stranger was. Your surprise grew even further when you recognised the face,

"Sora, not now – I'm on an errand."

"Oh really? That's rare, you always seemed to be holed up in that dusty church." The boy grinned, he seemed to finally notice you. "You're with a friend? That's even rarer!"

You shuffled under his gaze, uncomfortable being in the spotlight.

"Sora."

"Yeah, I got it – you got something to do." Sora waved his hand, "You're gonna go see Kairi and her sisters right? Can you do me a favour and give these to her? I don't understand why she gotta bully me to get them for her all the time."

He extended a small wooden box tray to Cloud, filled with couple of glass vials and some dried greenery and even some mushrooms. When Cloud seemingly to have glowered at him, he sheepishly edged in the direction of his hands for you instead. Blinking in surprise, you stiffly accepted it. His eyes widened in surprise but quickly turned into a grin instead.

"I've never seen you around! I'm Sora!"

"... I'm sorry this might be a really weird question but.... do you have a brother?" you asked quietly,

At your words, Sora's mood deflated, his face turning into a troubled smile instead, "Ah.... You heard about stuff that Vanitas did? I'm sorry about that, my brother doesn't have the biggest self-control. Don't let him freak you out at least – he treats us right at least!"

Even if Sora wasn't anything like his brother, there was no way it meant that he wouldn't become crazed hungry if he had caught scent of human blood. There was also no guarantee that his brother wouldn't bet another second chance that he would finish the job if he found you again.

"... We're going now."

Cloud started to walk away, leaving you to trace after him as quickly as possible. Sora bid you a loud farewell at your retreating backs. He didn't say anything else, but this time, you welcomed the silence between you for your thoughts to settle.

"We're here,"

You looked out from behind Cloud's back, only to see have arrived at the base of a horse statue, but there wasn't anything else around. His fist raised to knock on the plate of the statue around 3 times, then a rumble. The statue's base started to sink into the ground, revealing an entrance, a crumbling earth staircase down to goodness where.
