Chapter 4: Video Games

Ashlie's POV

As soon as school ended I ran home and went to the bathroom. I frantically cleaned up my blades and put them in my room. I cleaned and scrubbed every blood stain to were you couldn't see it even if you tried. I cleaned everything else and shut my room door. I sat in my living room and relaxed a bit more. Luckily I had about an hour before they all come over.

Third person POV

The time had flew by and soon they were at Ashlie's door. She stood reluctantly and opened the door. "Hey Ashlie!" Jon said excitedly. She sighed. "Hello" She said with much less enthusiasm. She moved back, letting them in, and shut the door. The games were already set out on the couch, so they sat down. Ashlie watched as they chatted, then turned to her.

"So Ash" Cory started,

"Hm?".

"Where are your parents?" Nick finished for Cory.

Ashlie froze in her tracks. She was not wanting to answer the question. She started to think of an excuse for why they weren't there.

"Um earth to Ashlie?" Uni said waving his hand in her face, after a long period of time. "Oh! Um my parents are........um at work! Yeah they um work a lot......" She responded nervously. The boys looked at each other, all thinking the same.

"Ok?....well let's do this challenge I guess" Dawn said quietly. Tommy and Cory instantly got the game started up, while the others watched them.

Ashlie walked quietly into the kitchen and breathed a breath she didn't realize she was holding. Her heart was pounding and she grabbed a glass of water. She gulped it down and breathed heavily. I really hope they bought that lie, She thought to herself, or else I'm screwed.

"Your gonna get wrecked Carl!" Tommy said smiling. "Pfft yeah right Tom" Cory paused for a sec then yelled, "AND DON'T CALL ME CARL". Nick, Uni, Dawn, and Jon laughed at the arguing that was going down.

"No fair you pushed me!"

"Did not Tom"

"Did too Carl"

They continued bickering whilst playing the game. Ashlie came back into the living room. By Nick and Uni were almost falling off of the couch from how hard they were laughing, Jon was on the floor laughing, and Dawn was chuckling at the craziness.

The game ended with Cory winning and gloating, Tommy being salty, and everyone laughing at how bad Tommy failed. Even Ashlie was smiling a little bit at them.

"I just.....can't breath....Ashlie.....were's your....bathroom?" Jon said in between laughs. "Down the hall can't miss it" She said trying to hide her smile.

Jon stood up, almost falling from laughter. He stumbled to the bathroom and went inside. Once finished, he went out and saw an shut door near the bathroom. Jon contemplated going inside. Well should I? He thought, I mean it's just a peak a suppose. Okay let's go!

Jon opened up the door and peaked inside. He saw Harry Potter posters and books and he saw on a bed........
