Third Person POV

When lunch ended, Ashlie went to her last class of the day. Math. And when that ended she walked home like every other day. Thankfully no one went with her and she was just left a alone with her thoughts.

That Bri girl ,she thought to herself, she seems so.....non attitude-y. I was expecting someone like her but she's nothing like her.

She walked into her house. The eerie silence followed her and stalked her, watching her until she broke it. "Crap! I have to go and see them today!" Ashlie blurted out, panicking in the process. She threw her bag in her room, locked the door, shut it, and ran.

When she reached the hospital, she ran to the desk. "Room....316" she panted out. The nurse looked up at Ashlie and instantly said,"Oh Ashlie here's your key". "Thank you" Ashlie said and bolted to the elevator. She pushed the 4th floor button with no hesitation and waited impatiently.

When the silver doors opened, Ashlie stepped out and walked fastly to Room 316. She breathed and calmly opened the doors, revealing two people she dearly wanted to see.

"Ashlie!" The two girls said, well one squeaked.

Ashlie walked to Shelby and hugged her. She walked over to Mousie and hugged her. She pulled a chair over and looked at both of the girls with happiness and sadness.

"I missed you guys" Ashlie said.

"We missed you too!" Shelby said happily. "I thought you left..."

Ashlie was taken aback. Leave? No. No no no no. Never.

Ashlie took her jacket off. Since she had a long sleeve shirt on, she didn't need to worry.

"I would never ever leave you guys"

"Not for the world?" Mousie asked.

"Not for the world"

The girls continued to talk and laugh. This was one of the few times Ashlie ever smiled and laughed. These girls kept Ashlie alive. They were the reason. No one else was as important or mattered as much. Ashlie would sacrifice herself for these girls.

Only if she could've saved them on that awful, awful day like they saved her. Then she would've been in the hospital bed and she would be hurt and they would be fine.

If only...

Ashlie and her sisters were in the car, getting ready to go on a trip to Disney World. It was raining, something that didn't usually happen in Texas. It was just drizzling, nothing more for the moment. The car was quiet and the girls were asleep, so they didn't notice the rain picking up and getting stronger by the minute.

Then it started to storm.

What was "just drizzling" became thundering and lightning. Somehow the girls were still asleep. The road they were driving on was flooding little by little.

Lighting.

It struck the car and sent it into a blaze. It spun, waking up the girls. When Shelby and Mousie say what was happening, they wasted no time in blocking Ashlie from any type of debris.

The car slammed into a tree near the road.

When it hit the tree, Shelby and Mousie went flying since they were protecting Ashlie. Ashlie slammed into seat in front of her, knocking her out. Shelby was covered in blood, but was awake. Mousie, on the other hand, was striving to stay awake. Shelby ran to the door, opening it, and yanking Ashlie out.

When Ashlie was out, Shelby put her next to a tree near Mousie who was getting up and screaming for help.

The only thing Ashlie could see was her parents burning in the car. She wanted to yell for them, but couldn't. She saw them smile at her. They hugged each other as they burned away in the fire. The last thing she heard was sirens before passing out.

After the incident, the girls were taken to the hospital. Mousie had a concussion and lost blood, Shelby lost a lot of blood in her arms and legs. Ashlie had enough blood to give both of them since she was O-negative. They spent a year in the hospital in Texas then had to be transferred to New Hampshire for better treatment.

Ever since then, Ashlie's hated herself. She can't stand the fact that she couldn't save them. When they moved to New Hampshire, Mousie and Shelby made her a blue sweater because she couldn't see them for a few months. When she saw them again, she told them she lost it.

She never told them.

And she never will.

"Hey Ashlie I've got a present for you"
