4. New Experiments...

Shivani’s POV

As I walked inside the school gate, I saw Shahina and Kia walking in. I joined them.

"Hey guys!" I greeted them.

Not finding Sonali there, I asked them,

"Where's Sonali?" Sonali, Kia and Shahina, all come by the same bus, so...

"Busy with her boyfriend!" was the reply I got from Kia.

"Sonali has a boyfriend?"

"Yup, she's dating Sarthak! You were not aware of that?"

"I had no clue!"

"Haven't you seen them holding hands and stuff like typical love birds?"

"Never noticed!"

"Coz you are always too busy fighting with Satwik", Shahina interrupted.

We reached our classroom, talking about random stuff. I found Satwik, and the others already there, talking in a group, but Sarthak and Sonali were not there. As Kia had told, they were 'busy'! We quickly joined them, but it was already time for the class, so we got seated in our places, after saying our heys and hellos. As I sat down next to Satwik, he asked me,

"Can I tell you something?"

"Yeah..." I replied, but I didn't mean it.

"You look kind of fat!"

This was disgusting! He fights with me all the time, and then calls me fat! I don't think I'm fat!

Soon, I saw Sarthak and Sonali enter the classroom, seconds before Sir entered. It was a maths class, and I hate maths, so it was boring! Sir stood up to teach us, and I found Satwik and Sarthak talking in signs. In no time, Satwik turned towards me, and asked me in a whisper,

"You like maths?"

I just shook my head in reply. He held my hand and pulled me down, so that both of us were under the desk.

"Wha.....", I was about to scream, when he placed his hand on my mouth, saying,

"Shhhh.... we are bunking class!"

We went out of the class walking on our knees, like thieves. Our column was the one nearest to the door, so it wasn’t really a problem. I just hoped Sir wouldn’t notice. Not that I thought he would, he was quite genial and easy to fool, if you ask me. I know it ‘cause yesterday some guy told him he wanted to go out because he saw some kid trying to climb over the school wall and he wanted to stop the kid. Like who would buy that? But he did. So yeah.

Once we were out, I found all my friends already standing there. Sarthak and Sonali stood there holding hands, just like Kia had explained. We walked out towards the main gate in silence, so that no one could know about it. Instead of going out through the gate, we walked to a second gate, which was at a distance. There was no watchman there, and the gate was closed.

I was about to ask that how we were going to get out, when I saw,  Sarthak helping Sonali to climb up the gate. Soon, all of them had gone out and it was only me and Satwik. I tried to climb up the door, but failed. Satwik came forward to help me, saying in a whisper,

"Let me help you fatty!"

I shot him a death glare, and climbed the door to go out, and soon Satwik was also out. As soon as we were out, Satwik said,

"Fatty does not know how to climb!"

All of them had their eyes on me, filled with confusion.

"Fatty?" Sonali asked.
