First note, SPOILER WARNING.
Second, this story may have some wild inaccuracies. I just saw Fallen Kingdom (as of 5/25/18) and started writing the story immediately after. If you know things that are inaccurate, please point it out to me and I'll fix it.
Also, Alexa's role in Fallen Kingdom is much smaller than it was in Jurassic World. The story is short and the chapters are shorter as well. Not much info is given about the history of the Indoraptor like it was with the I-Rex, so there isn't a lot of backstory to the animal.
Side note, when I say Alexa's dogs are large in the story, they are huge. Like, the size of a lion huge. They are meant to exhibit the same growth rate the I-Rex had but on a smaller scale.
