"Jimin-ah I hope we didn't crash you and hyung's meeting? I apologize if we did." Namjoon said while they waited for the meat to grill. They had all settled on barbecue to no surprise. Yoongi hadn't even thought of the possibility that Jimin might be upset by their joining. Jimin felt guilty as his elder apologized because part of him didn't want them there.
"Ah no of course not I wanted to meet you guys too this way we kill two birds with one stone." Jimin smiled at J-Hope and Namjoon who grinned back at the boy. Namjoon and J-Hope were fond of Jimin as he'd been nothing but respectful and caring towards them and the others, in the friend group. Yoongi had noted his good manner as well and it only endeared him more.
They ate mostly in silence only talking after about what they were up to nowadays. Yoongi only slightly choked on water when Hobi brought up twitter and Jimin felt his face grow warm.
"Yes I was forced to get it." Yoongi admitted and Jimin chuckled.
"I guess I should make one too right?" Jimin was sure he was blushing but thanks his to his B.B. cream it probably wasn't showing much.
"You should, it's good to interact with fans right Yoongi hyung?" Namjoon looked at Yoongi with a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"What? Oh yeah it is." Jimin was thinking about his fam account and little did he know Yoongi was doing the same. Jimin paid after Yoongi had to argue with him to let him pay but Jimin was firm in his stance and then he pouted and Yoongi conceded. J-Hope and Namjoon felt like they were intruding upon a moment as the two argued and when Jimin pouted J-Hope could almost see Yoongi's resolve come crumbling down.
Namjoon had to go home soon after since Jin was sick and J-Hope just made up some shit excuse Yoongi knew was a lie but let it slide. Truthfully he did want to spend time with Jimin even if he became a mess when they were alone.
They went back to his studio and Jimin was barely containing his excitement as Yoongi said he would play his music for him on their way back. He knew Jimin had a good ear so maybe he could help him with his new track.
"So this is last one for the album it's unfinished." He pressed play and Jimin listened closely bobbing his head to the beat and then the part of the track that was empty played. Jimin bit his lip while he thought. Yoongi paused it and tried hard not to stare at the boy's lips and how he was gonna beat up Hobi for even making him think about them so much.
"You need vocals there or like violins or something. It's a slow song so either would work." Jimin noted and Yoongi hadn't even thought of violins but shit that could work.
"I am wanted someone to feature on it, someone like you...but if you can't that's okay." Yoongi said shyly not making eye contact until he was done. He looked up to see Jimin's eyes wide and his lips slightly parted. Yoongi was now having a really fucking hard time not staring. After a beat or two of awkward silence Yoongi felt like dying.
"It's fine-" Yoongi started only to be cut off by Jimin's hand waving. Jimin had finally gathered his thoughts enough to speak after realizing Yoongi was being serious.
"No no I'd love to I'm just surprised you want me to collab with you I'm honored." Yoongi was amused by this because wow they were both idiots. He thought Jimin would never and Jimin thought he would never want him to.
"Okay great I have the sheet music here if you wanna take a look." Yoongi said and he hoped he didn't sound as excited as he was. It was far too soon for his Park Jimin fanboy side to come out in front of Park Jimin himself. Jimin took it happily and scanned through it. The lyrics were deep and the song seemed to be about unrequited love which Jimin seemed to be the expert on as of late.
He began to sing and Yoongi closed his eyes to listen. He loved Jimin's voice and how it seemed to caress and complement the music and the lyrics he sang.
"Is that good?" Jimin had stopped and Yoongi opened his eyes. Jimin's smile was shy and small, awaiting for Yoongi's approval; it was beautiful and Yoongi feared he would go into cardiac arrest.
"It was perfect." Jimin beamed then and Yoongi couldn't help but smile back.
"Oh shit I forgot I promised Tae and Jungkook I'd be back in time to watch this new kdrama we started." Jimin announced and Yoongi was amused. Jimin had a habit of exposing too much and he just did it in front of his crush. If it weren't for his hands packing up his stuff Jimin would have facepalmed.
"Sorry for keeping you long and thanks again for agreeing to collab I'll have my manager send over the paperwork and what not." Yoongi said seriously then.
"I enjoyed spending time with you so I lost track of it. And yeah that sounds great we should see each other more often thought hyung!" Jimin added because he was feeling bold and seeing Yoongi (and his smile) really had made his life span extend.
"I agree." This was all Yoongi could muster since he was trying to recover from the effects of everything Jimin had just said to him. Yoongi waved him goodbye as Jimin bounded out of the office.
