Christopher's mouth went dry when Raven stepped out of the hospital bathroom, "Why do I have to wear this home?"
Christopher slightly smiled, "Its a surprise."
Raven sighed and rolled her eyes as she sat in the wheelchair, "Take me home please."
Christopher smirked as he took off out of the room. As he quickly pushed her through the lobby he slid to a stop in front of an awaiting Francine.
Raven eased out of the chair and hugged her goodbye. Christopher did the same then escorted Raven to the Range Rover. She stared out the window as she fidgeted with her fingers. Christopher noticed her distress and slightly squeezed the one closes to him. He smiled as she let out a sigh of relief.
Raven thought to herself, "Home."
The caravan of security finally reached its destination. Christopher helped her out and covered her eyes before he opened the door.
When he lifted them, there was a loud cheer, "Surprise!"
Raven gasped and smiled at the large party, but sadly her smile faded when Blake approached her with a dozen pink roses.
Raven forced a smile, "Thank you Blake, they're lovely.
He smiled his photo perfect smile and kissed her lightly on the lips. Raven again paste a fake smile on her face. He then turned to the crowd and snapped his fingers. Champagne was dispersed among the guests and to Raven, "A toast to my beautiful fiancé and her recovery."
Raven shyly smiled as she raised her glass, Blake squinted at her when she didn't drink it and whispered, "Drink it."
She whispered back, "I can't. I just had my liver repaired."
Before Raven could reply, Christopher grabbed her glass and downed it in one gulp, then winked at her and strolled away.
Raven looked down as she spoke to Blake, may I see you in private?"
The couple found privacy in the side parlor. Raven kept her eyes down as she spoke, "Blake, why do you want to marry me? We hardly know each other."
Blake smiled as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "What is there to know? Just know you'll have everything you ever wanted."
Raven slowly moved her eyes to his, "Do you want children?"
Blake chuckled, "Oh I already have kids, actually one is due next month."
Raven shook her head in disbelief, "What?"
"Sure I want kids with you, they would be legitimate." Blake shrugged like it was nothing.
Raven was in the verge of tears, "Why me?"
Blake steeped closer and stroked her cheek, "Because I always get what I want. I wanted you the first moment I saw you. Make no mistake, I don't love you, I just own you."
Raven pressed her eyes closed as he kissed her forehead. He chuckled as he grasped her hand and lead her back to the party.
Christopher kept a cold glare on Blake. He noticed he wouldn't let her out of her sight for rest of the evening. When it was finally night, everyone was escorted out on the veranda that overlooked the river. Blake kissed Raven on the cheek, "Here comes your surprise."
Raven cocked an uneasy brow as she noticed he was looking up into the night sky. (BOOM!)
Raven jump as the fireworks started. Everyone oohh and aaahhed, but every boom threw Raven back into the moment that she was shot. She frantically looked around the crowd for an escape but couldn't find one. (BOOM!) She hyperventilated and covered her ears as the fireworks continued. (BOOM!) She was about to break down until she felt someone scoop her up bridal style and pushed through the crowd. (BOOM!)
She started to sob as she heard Christopher whispered in her ear, "I've got you.. I've got you.."
Raven deeply sighed as they reached her room. Christopher sat her on the bed and quickly turned on her surround sound with classical music. She closed her eyes as she controlled her breathing. He walked to her bathroom and came back with a glass of water. He kneeled down in front of her and placed it securely in her shaking hands.
Raven didn't look up, "Thanks."
Both of there heads shot up as they heard a knock on the door, "Raven! Open this door!" Christopher growled as he approached the banging.
Blake stood back as Christopher flung open the door, "What?!"
Blake nervously adjusted his tie, "Where is Raven?"
Christopher smiled as he continued to block his path, "She's fine."
Blake balled up his fist, but was too afraid to strike, "Tell her, I will see her tomorrow."
Christopher locked his hunter eyes on his prey, "No, you're not."
Blake spoke with squinted eyes, "What tha fuck did you say to me?"
"I said fuck off.."
Blake growled as he took a swing, but Christopher dodged it and locked his arm in a restrained position. Blake was on his knees moaning, "Fffuucckk!!"
Raven jumped from the bed, "Chris! Let em go! For Gods sake your going to break his arm!"
Christopher smiled as he cut his eyes to her, "Hhmm.. Why didn't I think of that." (Snap)
"Fuuucckk! My arm!" Blake doubled over in pain as Christopher towered over him.
Blake heaved as he turned his frightened eyes to the soon to be boss of the family.
