The next morning the lights flashed bright, while waking up. I lifted from the bed and sat up. ---Morning? I looked around and no one entered to say hi. I turned and placed my feet on the ground. Standing up, I felt a bit dizzy. I shook my head lightly and walked towards the door. I pressed the Button on the door, it slid towards the right clasping between the crack and the wall. I looked out into the hallway, no one was in sight. ---I'm always up before everyone... I, best, look around and get a feel around this place. I walked through the hallway leading me back towards the main entrance. Once again another button I pressed on the door made it move into a slit in the wall. I entered the main entrance. I crossed my arms, and looked about the room. Nothing new, no other steps or other places that I could enter. ---A simple design, I wonder how they got the lights from appearing from the outside, if I remember correctly, there was no boarded up windows... I walked towards the front door. A peep hole was about my height, I peeked through it. The sun glared out into the street, people stormed the roads heading to stores, they were like the old days, merchants stood in front of there posts selling fresh veggies and herbs. ---Did Delusion reset the their entire way of living? I stepped back. ---This bastard had the right idea but how did he manage to accomplish replacement? I rubbed my head and walked towards the hallway. Then something grabbed my attention. Then silence arose, it was strange that everything went completely silent. I was able to hear the noisy crowds of people heading to merchants to merchants, yet silence. I turned and walked back towards the door and peeked through the peep hole. The streets had people staring off into the distance, normal, reacting to someone saying something. I looked at both sides of me, a scarf was hanging by wall hangers on my left, on my right a hat hanging on a coat rack. I decided on the scarf, I walked towards it and grabbed it. I wrapped it around my mouth and around my neck, hopefully hiding my identity. The scarf fell long at the mid section of my back, I fixed it around my mouth and after I was done, lifted it up over my nose. I walked towards the door and opened it. Exiting slowly, shutting the door behind me. I heard an echo of a voice, Delusion possibly? It said, "By the end of today, our doomsday machine will be finished, it'll destroy any history and make it nonsexist." the crowd gasp and went into a murmur. ---The hell!? Was that the plan, was he planning on fixing this so called "Doomsday device"? Damn it, I'm running out of time to fix this... I began to sprint, then I stopped. ---I can't do anything, yet if I run towards that mansion, I'll get caught and easily figured out in seconds. It's best to stay low and blend in, maybe there's a tour or something going around the mansion. As long as I can keep the scarf around my face I'll be fine, hopefully. I walked into the street, people walked to merchant to merchant buying food and/ or cleaning supplies. The place looked like it was built for the year 2026, yet it seemed that Delusion decided to return the people to the original reason why technology was created. I walked past some of the stores, some stuff was hanging off ropes and merchants yelling about sales and what not.

Then I stopped, noticing the entire time walking this person was staring and watching my each step. ---What's the deal with this person? Then the person turned back towards a bar, drinking whatever he or she was drinking. I rubbed my head and continued moving down the street. I walked towards the bar and when reaching it and stopping in front of a seat, I sat. The bartender stopped in front of me, "Anything, sir." "Water, that's it," he nodded and went on his way. I looked down at the counter, wood, nothing new about it. Then I heard someone sit beside me, in the corner of my eye, I couldn't tell who it was. The bartender sat my cup in front of me and the guy beside me said, "More Wine," the bartender nodded and went on his way. Then subtle whisper, "I know you. Your that mysterious Link that's been lurking about." "Yeah, I guess you can say that." I grabbed the cup, then a knife stopped me in my tracks when it inserted the wood. "You're coming with me." Then I noticed blood drip off the bottom of my wrist almost cutting the tendon. Before he grabbed my arm I jumped off the seat grabbing his knife in the process. I landed on my feet. The guy got off his seat and ran towards me. I dodged him and slammed the front part of my leg into him, making him fly back into the counter. "Slick bastard, aren't you?" His voice began to change at the end of what he said. Then he walked towards me transforming into a beast, almost destroying the bar in the process.
