CHAPTER FOURGROW UP

-❁-

IF JUNGKOOK hated him so much then why did he have to come with Yoongi? Taehyung couldn't understand it.

"Why doesn't he just let Yoongi come on his own?" Taehyung mumbled, moving around the meat on his plate with his fork.

Jimin sighed, shrugging as he shoved a piece of pepper into his mouth. "Its none of our business. Besides, maybe he'll apologise and you two--"

"Even if he apologised two thousand times I would never accept it Jimin!" He argued, expression illustrating his complete and utter disgust.

"Well Yoongi is one of the best producers in South Korea! We aren't firing him. Perhaps he's bringing Jeongguk so you two can get over this little confrontation"

But it was clear Taehyung wasn't just going to accept it that quickly. He stood up with a huff and began searching the fridge for more food.

"Tae -- You haven't finished! Seokjin hyung will be mad if you leave it" Though despite his efforts, Jimin was ignored by his best friend and instead Taehyung took a chocolate cupcake and left to his room.

It had been an hour or so since Yoongi and Jeongguk had left, and Taehyung had been sulking the entire time. Jimin was frankly getting quite frustrated with the younger because he just wouldn't shut up about how much he hated Jungkook.

"He's just so annoying!"

"And have you seen his smug grin? He knows how frustrating he is!"

"How can Yoongi even stand living with a guy like him?!"

He'd just gone on and on and on. "Taehyung!" Eventually Jimin stood up and went after his friend. "Stop being silly, come on! They're gone now, just forget about him for now" But Taehyung stayed quiet, not answering Jimin. "Tae! Please. I know he hurt you and what he did was wrong and I listened to what you said earlier! But don't waste your time --"

Just then the door opened and there stood a messy haired, puffy eyed, pink cheeked Taehyung. "I-It just hurts so much hyung!"

--

Jeongguk flopped onto his bed with a sigh and curled into his sheets. How could Taehyung be so selfish?! He wasn't the one that had to suffer. He wasn't the one that had to watch as hundreds of fans told him how ugly and pathetic he was. Jeongguk had seen so many comments calling him vile. He'd spent nights crying himself to sleep, wishing he were dead rather than having to see his Twitter.

"Ya. Kid. You can't sit in here and feel sorry for yourself forever" Jeongguk hadn't even heard Yoongi come in, but there he was. Standing at the end of the bed.

"Hyung just let me feel sorry for myself!"

"No. Pizza is here, get your lazy a--"

"Fine! Fine." Jeongguk huffed, lifting himself up and scowling at the older man across from him. "Geez" there was a moment of silence. "Did you see how rude --"

"Jeongguk. Please. Can we just eat and not talk about Taehyung?"

Reluctantly, Jeongguk agreed and the two moved into the front room where there were three boxes of pizza, cans of beer and a film ready on pause. Clearly Yoongi had noticed that Jeongguk needed a chill out night.

The younger couldn't help but smile a little. Yoongi did care. He knew he did. It was obvious more in his small kind gestures rather than his words.

The boys sat on the couch, Jeongguk grabbing a slice of pizza as the mint haired man pressed play on the movie.

It was perhaps 2 hours later. They were onto their second film, all three boxes were now empty and thrown across the floor, and they had each made their way through 5 or 6 cans of beer.

"He's such a -" The raven haired boy hiccuped. "- butthead"

"Butthead?" Yoongi giggled. Yes. Giggled. "What are you? Five?" His lips pulled up into a gummy smile.

Jeongguk pouted. "Yes! He makes me so mad inside! My heart just clenches every-" Hiccup. "- time I see him"

"You hate him that much?"

"I hate Kim Taehyung this -" his arms stretched out in a childish gesture to demonstrate how much he 'hated' Kim Taehyung. "- much!"

Yoongi scoffed. "That's how much I love~ Jimin"

"I knew it!" Jeongguk nudged the other a little too hard, causing him fall onto his side. "You still love him"

"It was a mistake but, I'm glad we're friends. You and Taehyung, however. That's a different story" He had sat himself back up, legs crossed as he faced the dark haired boy. "You just don't want to admit it. But you still like him, don't you?"

"No! I hate him! He's obnoxious and rude and selfish and ugh--"

Although maybe Jungkook just didn't want to accept it. Maybe he just didn't want to believe that perhaps just a small part of him was still madly in love with the idol he'd fallen in love with so many years ago.

It's a little short! I know! But I'm just trying to get into the feel of the story and the characters. Sorry if the next few updates are a little slow and boring... Please stay with me!
