The events of Battle City have just concluded, and Yugi now owns all three Egyptian God cards. Seto Kaiba longs to finally defeat him, and he has a plan. He suspects that since Maximillion Pegasus created the Egyptian God cards, he would have also created a way to beat them, just in case something ever went wrong. Kaiba heads off to Pegasus's castle and challenges him to a duel. The stakes are the following: if Pegasus wins, he gets Kaiba's three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons"; if Kaiba wins, Pegasus hands over the card that can beat the Egyptian Gods. Kaiba wins, and Pegasus must fulfill his wager: he picks up two cards from Pegasus's decks. However, Pegasus is confused; he only created one card to beat the Egyptian Gods, not two...
Yugi Pov
I was happy enough that the battle city was over and we saved Marik's life from his Yami. Now, since we've got the Egyptian God cards, we have a destiny to face.
"Yugi!" I heard someone calling me as I saw...
"Marie!" I ran over to her and hugged her in a tight grasp.
"Nice...to see..you too." She was gasping for air as I let her go.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I was visiting my best friends house and I notice you pass by. I wanted to come say 'hello'." She replied.
"Well, it's a good thing you did. Your dad really missed you since you've left and I am sure that he'll be glad to see you again." I said as she smiled.
"Hey! There's Yugi Muto!" I heard a boy yelled wearing his duel disk as a mob of people came up to chase us.
"Uh, I think we should run!" I held her hand as we ran to make our way inside of the museum.
"Is this the best place to be safe from those people?" Marie asked.
"It has to be. Look! There's grandpa!" I said as we made our way over to grandpa.
"Hi, grandpa!" Marie greeted giving grandpa a hug.
"Hello Marie." He greeted back.
"What are you doing the museum, grandpa?" I asked.
"The scientist have brought back an interesting Egyptian pyramid called, "The Pyramid of Light". It looks like your millennium puzzle and here's what the Ancient Scriptures say: "The eye that sees what's yet to come, its vision shall be fulfilled, unless blinded by events predetermined, thus light & shadows both be killed" He read out loud.
Suddenly, triggering a strange vision in my mind concerning to the Millennium Puzzle, the Pyramid of Light, Anubis, and Kaiba. That these visions cause me to pass out.
"Y...Yu...YUGI!" Marie called me that my eyes shot open.
"Marie, is it time for a bed time story?" I asked tired.
"Forget about that! The mummy is gone!" She said as my eyes widen.
"What?" I asked with wide eyed.
