Vic's POV:
"Mom?" I look at her in shock, not knowing what I'm supposed to be feeling.I can feel how Mike is staring at the both of us from besides us. Vivian, or I guess.. mom nods a bit at my question but the room is still silent. All that you can hear are the three of us breathing although I'm pretty sure that my heart is beating so loud the others might be hearing the sound of that as well.
I stand up from my chair, taking a step closer to my mom who stands up as well. I look into her eyes and even though I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible to do so; I swear that I can remember seeing those eyes before. That I've seen these same eyes staring back at me before when I was only a baby.
"Oh my god..." I whisper, and then I finally let myself break down into tears. I wrap my arms around my mom who hugs me back so tightly that I'm almost scared for a moment that she is going to break a rib of mine.
I feel another pair of arms wrap around us and figure that it's Mike. My little brother Mike. Something I never thought I'd have the privilege to think. We stay in the hug for such a long time that this must be turning into the longest hug I've ever shared with someone.
What eventually pulls us out of the silent hug is my phone vibrating in my pocket, signaling that someone has been calling me. And a lot of times since that's the only time it'll ring when I've put the moon on.
I check the screen, seeing Kellin's name appear on it. Damn.. he must have been really wondering what is taking me so long. I answer the phone nevertheless, muttering an excuse me to my mom and Mike who keeps staring at me with adoration lacing their eyes as I speak to my boyfriend.
"Hey sweetie," I begin, about to start explaining myself when Kellin breaks me to speaking.
"Vic, where are you? Are you still at the interview. I've called you like twenty times I thought the FBI people had murdered you or something, are you okay?" He rushes out new questions without even taking a second to take a breath or let me answer the first one.
"Um yeah I'm still at the interview... I got stuck here for longer than I thought. But I'll be home in like half an hour babe I promise."
"Okay.. Are you sure everything's okay? You sound kind of weird.." Kellin questions.
"Yeah, I'm fine I promise. I'll see you in thirty minutes babe. Bye."
"Bye.." he mumbles, still seeming to think I'm acting a bit weird which I probably am.
After ending the call I send Kellin a quick text, telling him to wear appropriate clothes when I come home, since I might be bringing company with me. He seems to be a bit weirded out by this as well but I still trust that he does put on something appropriate.
After sending the text away I look back at my mom and little brother, well younger brother. Maybe not so little. They're both looking at me with big eyes, seeming to be waiting for me to start talking.
"I honestly have no idea what to say right now, where to even begin.." I say in all honestly, not having a single clue to what I'm supposed to say in a moment like this.
"How are you here? Why are you here? How did you get here?" my mom asks, being just like Kellin and not breathing a second between the questions, nor giving me a second to answer one before asking the next.
"I time travelled for a mission just like you. My best friend Jaime and I, who also worked for the bureau back in 2017 were sent to a mission to prevent some president disaster that would be taking place. Only thing was that we weren't supposed to stay here after the mission was done. We were supposed to go back to 2017.
