This story starts off in the most unusual places, well for the mortals above anyways.

Although this morning started off like most others, the one where this story is placed is always bright and filled with voices.

You see this was hell. Well kinda anyway, the things that live here are what comes from under your bed when you're sleeping. What opens your cupboard when you're watching at night. What touches your face in the middle of the night, sending a shiver down your spine.

Every night they all got assigned one kid or twins to scare in the night. Most always had a 100% scare rate, meaning they never failed to get the job done.

Century after century these creatures sat in your room while you're sleeping staring at you.

There was one though. One that has never had an assignment in a very, very long time. Only because he was the leader. He was the big boss.

See where many of the other monsters had big horns and swishy tails, with nails as long as their own hands, he had something else. Something that never failed to scare the kids. There what got him this job.

Well, it wasn't just one feature that did it. It was him in general. He had this aura about him that screamed power and fright.

His feet were that of monkeys meaning he could get around a lot faster, his legs were that of jaguars giving him abnormal speed. His chest that of a gorilla giving him the alpha look, his arms were big and muscular showing that he could do just about anything.

His head was shaped and looked like a humans but it mirrored whatever the thing it was pointed at feared the most. His ears were pointed and long making him look like an elf, while his eyes.

Well his eyes were a completely different story. They were bright green almost shining in the flames. They had golden flakes if you look deep enough, slitted like a cats making it easier for him too see further and for longer without blinking. Striking fear into the children just while looking at them was his best way.

This big boss told everyone the ins and outs for their assignments. If one creature couldn't do it then he would. Not that that happens very much.

You can image his surprise when the same child was forcing the creatures away making one of them cry after going there.
