A few days passed and the only time that Kevin got to see Adam was at summer school due to Adam taking up more shifts at the pizza place his mom owned so she could have a bit of a break.
Don't take it the wrong way either, Kevin was very pleased that Adam did that for his mom. But that didn't mean Kevin didn't miss him.
They texted all night though and Kevin had made plans for them to have a big date Thursday night, one of the nights Adam had a shorter shift.

Adam: babe
Adam: u there
Kev: right here
Adam: I can't make the date tonight, I'm so sorry
Kev: ok :(
Adam: r u mad?
Kev: a little. But you need to work, see ya tomorrowKevin put his phone down and looked back at the picnic he sat at, all by his lonesome. He drank a few juices himself which would have been a lot more cute and romantic if someone else had been there. A few minutes later he slowly started picking up the things, starting with the trash, then food, then basket and blanket. Right as Adam showed up with Arms full off gifts. He felt like screaming happily at the top of his lungs and he ran to him letting him put the stuff down on the blanket, before hugging and kissing him. People slowed to watch the scene before them unfold.
"Kevin whatever McCanlen, will you be my boyfriend. Thought we should make this publicly official."
"Uhm of course!" Kevin cheered happily.
Everyone cheered as Adam screamed 'he said yes' kissing him and lifting him spinning him around. Adam helped Kevin load everything into Adam's pilot. Then Adam drove them to a very expensive restaurant.
"Table for Adam." Adam smirked at Kevin as they waited in the hostess.
"Adam Smith?" The woman asked
"Yes." He smiled even wider
"I need to see your ID sir I do not believe you're Adam Smith. No offense but that's a white name."
"Excuse me Ma'am, I don't mean to sound rude or anything but, what the hell?" Kevin spoke up. "Just because he's not white means you need to see his ID? I think if he says he's Adam Smith than he's Adam Smith."
This is usually the part in movies where the crowd would cheer but instead it was pretty silent, that definitely got the lady taken aback.
"ID sir," she spoke to Adam.
"Unbelievable," Kevin muttered, resting his chin on his boyfriends shoulder.
"Here," He said handing her the ID. "Proof that I am who I say," Adam smiled politely.
"Sorry about that, it's just, you know," she said handing it back to him. Both the boys rolled their eyes.
"Oh my god," Kevin huffed as they took their seats. "Why are we even eating here?" Kevin said grumpily.
"They got great reviews Kev, I wanted to make tonight perfect for us," Adam sighed.
"I don't like the way she treated you," Kevin pouted.
