Incipimus Iterum

We began with melted fears,
Fingers wiping away our tears.
The ghost of love came too soon,
And all at once I was the moon.

The noise between our beating hearts,
Was broken by the loud silence,
Broken by your galaxy of stars,
Your eyes which dived into my soul and broke down my fences.

When you brought the day back to me,
The night was brought over you.
You chained yourself to set me free,
Despite knowing I'm a warrior too.

You were a hero who wanted to save another,
You were another rain cloud wanting to stop another's rain.
I only needed the love of a brother,
But we've gone too far, so we begin again.

At the end of our beginning,
The absence of you left me longing.
At the beginning of the end,
We turn strangers into friends.

Once again, I stand unsure;
But this time this is different.
Because I know how to find the cure,
The signs that lie within the currents.
