Facade

She, for one, experienced drowning
In the galaxy of somebody else's eyes
Eyes full of pain, sorrow, and suffering
Eyes that suffocated her with lies.

All these rocky pathways,
All these storms,
All these dull days
Become her norm.

This norm provoked a mask
To erect in the present of her past.
This mask became a boundary,
A facade, only for the unworthy.
