~1 week later~

She stood there. Uneasy. She's never been on an airplane.

Taking one last glance at her parents, she waved and hopped onto the airplane.

Her seat was in the middle aisle. She would've been too scared if it was in the back of the plane.

As soon as the plane took off, she felt like she was falling downwards.

Her head was heavy and she wanted to throw up.

The flight attendant walked down the aisle and Shazi asked, "Is it just me or is it hot in here?"

"No, ma'am it feels just fine."

The flight attendant saw that Shazi looked a little anxious and figured that it was her first time flying.

She told her that there is nothing to worry about.

A couple of minutes flew by and she couldn't take it anymore.

She could feel her anxiety creep up.

She got out of her seat and walked towards the front of the plane where the flight attendant was.

"Get me off" Trying not to sound rude, she said again, "get me off, please"

A woman across the aisle heard Shazi and scoffed.

Shazi turned around. What was her problem?

The man sitting next to her spoke out.

"Excuse me, if you don't want to be here then why come in the first place?"

Soon everyone was staring at her. All she could hear was whispers.

"Fucking muslims!," someone yelled.

She ignored the comments. She learned that it's not worth picking a fight. She's used to hearing this and that.

Even though she was embarrassed, she still turned back around to speak to the attendant.

Neels was in the back of the airplane and when he heard someone yell, he got up.

His friend, Matt, noticed. "Dude, the fuck you doing?"

"The fuck you think I'm doing?"

All of a sudden, Shazi felt a hand wrap the side of her arm.

She looked up. It was Neels. She was unaware that he was on the plane.

"Come on," he said softly.

He guided her back to her seat and picked up her bag.

"Are you serious, bro?"

Neels gave Matt a "seriously you won't give up your seat for a girl in distress" look

Matt gave in and went to sit in her seat.

Although she feared the back of the plane, she felt safe with him by her side.
