Hey guys, I just want to make this clear before I go on my rant: RAPE IS NOT OKAY AND I WILL NEVER BELIEVE IT IS
okay so... I do not believe that this Melanie Martinez story is real. Not many people know this but I actually kind of a fan of Timothy and her song Sleep (go check it out btw). To hear this happened to her broke my heart. But I do know that she has lost quite a few friends this year bc of her lying habits. Also a lot of girls have been lying about rape for attention since the whole Hollywood thing started. Now, don't get me wrong, she could have be telling the truth but I doubt it. A while back, she talked about how there was not enough people talking about the Hollywood situation and that maybe if someone important faked an accusation then people would actually talk about rape. FAKE RAPE ACCUSATIONS ARE ILLEGAL AND SHOULD NOT BE JOKED ABOUT. Lots of people are destroying their Mel merch without even thinking about it. One of the most important lessons my mom has taught me is to not take things at face value and never let yourself be spoon-fed news by the media. Timothy did not really know Melanie and I would like to hear full accounts of the story. Also, if someone rapes you, you do not write a story about it on Twitter, you tell someone and let authorities take action. Even if Melanie raped her, this was an awful, attention seeking way to share the story. For now, I still support Melanie and will ALWAYS listen to her music bc I ducking bought the album and have spent hours dedicating time to it so u obviously can't just let go of something I love. It is not like the album raped anyone.
Anyway, that is my opinion, I do not want to hear other people try to argue w me right now so I am going to bed. Goodnight loves 💗
