Chapter 2
We started to walk away from my house. I felt like someone was ripping my heart out with a sharp dagger; I felt pain all over my whole body as the image of my house that I had lived in disappeared slowly. My heart belonged in that house.
------ Flashback -------
“Nicole, I love this house, What about you?" My father asked, smiling warmly at my mother. Everyone could see the love between them. It was so great.
“Me too I like this house,” My mother said caressing his hand.
“Hmm...What about you, sweetie?” My mother asked kissing my forehead then playing with my hair. ‘How much I hate that habit of hers’ I thought trying not to roll my eyes.
"Mom I want the biggest room here." I was the spoiled kid like the saying, ‘The only kid will get all that he wants’. I had composed that saying myself.
"Okay, sweetie you may have it." My parents agreed smiling at me.
"Let's go sweetie.” My father said and started carrying me like a baby.
“Daddy I can walk; like you now, I am seven already!" I muttered trying to make him let go of me.
“I know baby girl but you will always be my little baby girl.” He said kissing my messy hair then he went upstairs. When he opened the door,
"Whoa! This room is mine?" I asked in shocked after we entered the huge room. There was a huge bed in the middle; the sheets were completely pink. The bed looked perfect with pink and white colors on it. Everything was organized. A modern lamp was on a small white table. I noticed a big white window there. A huge shelf filled with my favorite books. There was also a nice strawberry scent all over the room and my toys were already placed beside my bed.
“I love this room. It is mine, right? “I asked, almost screaming. This room was perfect and I loved it at first sight.
“Daddy, how did you know that I would like this room?” I asked, grinning.
“I have my ways, sweetie.” He said smiling softly and giving me a wink.
“Thanks daddy,” I said hugging him then he hugged me back.
"Dear, Sweetie, come here, dinner is waiting!” My mom yelled for us.
"We are coming!" My father yelled back. Then we marched down the stairs.
“Dinner is calling us so let's go or your mom will get crazy,” he whispered into my ear, making me giggle, then walk over to the kitchen.
I knew how my mother could be when she got angry or mad; she would become another person and we don't want that now, do we? I seen her angry before and I almost wanted to die. She would yell without stopping then she might break anything or throw things out too. Note to self: ‘Take care when mummy is angry.’
-------- End flashback ---------
"Are you here?" I heard Nathan asking, waving his hands in front of my face.
"Yeah ... Yeah I am here.” I barked at him, feeling how much I hate these guys. They killed my family, but why didn't they kill me too?
"Please, calm down.” His face was blank of any emotions.
“I don’t want to speak with you,” I swallowed, trying hard to look strong.
“We will solve that later.” He said aloud to himself. The look on his face scared me a lot, making me want to run away from him. I felt that there was a hidden part of him screamed ‘danger’.
