Two weeks later

...................

Everyday Jason comes to talk to me and I try to talk to him. I can say most words smoothly now even sentences. I also can wheel and fed myself now. It's great being able to move my arms now, my legs are getting much stronger and I've been gaining some weight.

Dr. Kerry visits too and he's almost like a father to me, yet my real one has still not visited. He does send money though and with it I bought my first iPod. To be exact a blue iPod5s.

I recently saw on the news that I was probably the most famous person alive because I had survived the operation. It does explain why the doctors only let me go outside in the hospital play yard, not anywhere else, because of paparazzi.

Right now I'm working on leg warm ups with Dr. Kerry, and I'm improving very much, I just can't walk yet. But I will soon.

"Today we will try a.......devise."

Dr. Kerry walks to a nearby closet and pulls out a think that looks like a bungee jump for baby's. And I'm right. Dr. Kerry gets a step stool and attaches two strings to the colorful ceiling.

"That's......for......baby's."

"No Elisa it's not, it's to help your legs get stronger."

He then lifts me up and puts me inside. My feet touch the cool floor and I try to bounce. A trill goes through me. I jump again. The cords hold up my upper half and I can see why this would help.

I jump for another half hour, then we go to the therapeutic pool. The doctors place me in the wheelchair seat in the pool, then lower me in. Aunt Sara comes in to, to comfort me. She's wearing a bright red swim suit and I know she chose that one because of Dr. Kerry. The waters cold and I shiver but the feeling fades away.

"Dr. Kerry will be here soon but until then we can start warm ups."

I hear a phone ring a distance away. Aunt Sara furrows her brow, she gives me a one second finger, then climbs out of the blue pool grimacing against the arthritis in her knees.

She wraps a towel around her self then puts the phone to her ear and walks out into the lobby. I sit there and watch the ripples erupt around my arm when I move it, they tickle my arm and I giggle. The pool is huge and the deepest end of the pool is around 30 feet deep because of the high dive.

Then I realize they didn't strap me in. I shimmy to the edge of the seat feeling the cold water go up to my neck. I just want to float for a minute.

Dr. Kerry says the air in my lungs will keep me afloat......so why not try it for a bit.

I go over the edge and with the little strength in my arms, i propel myself forward. Instantly I know I'm a fool. I go under feeling the water go over my head and I close my eyes. I'm useless, every movement is jerky and I sink like a deadweight.

An alarm goes off in my head, I have to to move! I kick as wildly as I can move and swing my arms with all the strength that I possess. I slowly move upward but my oxogen is running out and my head starts to pound against my skull. My movements are getting smoother and I open my eyes.

The light shines though the water making everything clearer and beautiful, I almost freeze. It's so quiet and silent. No harsh comments no negative words, just peace. Then I'm being throw into the air and oxogen feeds my dying lungs.
