I looked up as we arrived. Not much had changed. I grabbed my stuff but my uncle slapped my hands away. "Owwww." I whined and my cousins laughed hysterically. I kicked them and they started whining, which made me laugh.

I ate dinner with my new family. They tried to make small talk with me. I wouldn't talk about my mother. 'Eomma don't die! Please eomma! I need you.' Those three sentences ran through my head. 'If I had done something and not yelled I probably would've been able to help her.' I snapped myself out of my thoughts and smiled. "May I be excused?" I asked hoping they would say yes. They're house was bigger and had 2 rooms. I slept in the living room with my cousins. My uncle nodded and I quickly walked to the corner where I slept. I pulled out my favorite picture of me and my mom. I smiled and held back tears. 'Why did she have to die?'

My uncle informed me and my cousins it was time for bed. "Okay!" We all said in unison.
